I visited a friend in Massachusetts a few years ago, and we made pumkin pie. Just because I was curious, I bought cool whip.
It’s not whipped cream, nor is it really similar to it. It’s essentially made similar to how you’d make mayonnaise, but instead of being savoury/sour it’s sweet. It’s also aerated so it’s not as dense. But yeah, it’s basically aerated dessert mayonnaise.
My current apartment has some weird issue with tiny flies. When we viewed it there were millions of dead tiny flies on the floors. Figured it was just because the windows had been left open, but no, they’re still around. We’ve cleaned top to bottom and they’re still hanging around. Hella annoying.
Anyway, when a hair moves ever so slightly here, it’s always a bloody fly. Gods I wish we had a spider infestation instead.
They’ve recently tried establishing here in Sweden. Not quite sure where they set up shop but it’s nowhere near where I live, so I’ve not been. Don’t think it’s going great for them. I don’t think bulk groceries is a filled niche here, but I’m also not sure how big that niche even is. As far as I know most people buy groceries for the day, or every couple of days. My roomie and I order in groceries once a week. I think that’s fairly standard.
Might be massive savings in buying in bulk, but then there’s the matter of storing it all too.
I’d love that kind of punishment. Be carried around in a basket and go down a slope in a sleigh, screaming with a childish glee I’ve not felt in decades.
