I don’t live or work at the US, so I don’t think my opinion is worth more than shit. But I would guess you are mixing private with public projects. Private projects usually go on schedule because they’re not a lot of parties involved and everyone wants to finish the project asap to start a new a one. With public ones you have a lot of people involved because everyone and their granma think their opinion is valid and they are being affected. But this is the same on basically everywhere on the world, except maybe China.

I have a process that use python to read some excel files from the commercial team and then the result feed a dashboard. Every week the assistant of the director write me saying that the dashboard didn’t update correctly, I look what happens and everytime it was the commercial people messing with the excel where it was already told hundred of times they should not mess with anything except their corresponding cells. Next week I’m learning how to block the file except the cells they should edit.

I mean, have ever the US government acknowledge how fuck up was that the army killed pacifist protesters and nobody was persecuted about? How about starting with that. About the reception of posts criticizing what happened on Kent State is hard to know, because I have never see on my life anyone talking about it. I guess you would need an HBO series showing it for Americans to learn anout their own history, as it happened with Tusla, because that the only way they learn about that things.
