Was working retail in an area that had a local bag ordinance that required businesses to charge customers for bags. A man came up to the register and when I asked him if he wanted a bag for a few cents extra, he looked at me like I was crazy and was like, “You charge for bags?” I explained that it was required by the government and he just kinda scoffed. I thought that was it, but as he opened his wallet to pay, he flashed what turned out to be a police badge at me from another city some ways away, gave me a look, and said something along the lines of “I think I know what the law is.” I just finished up the transaction and got him going asap, blown away at the insecurity displayed. It was such a bizarre powermove over what was only a few cents extra for something completely optional.
The first time I played MtG, my friend who was teaching me let me go off with the token deck he lent to me. I ended up making so many creature tokens I was just writing them down on a piece of paper. It was in the hundreds. And then when I swung my massive army at him, he Uno-Reverso-d me and basically killed me with my own creatures. I think it’s still the most brutal way I’ve lost a game of Magic and I absolutely loved it XD
Because someone went out of their way to mutilate a video for no reason, so I’m gonna go out of my way to make it right. Just because you can’t be bothered to care doesn’t mean everyone else is just like you.
I don’t know what the impetus is, but some people seem compelled to put face filters on pretty much everything. I saw a post a while back with a historical photo that had been processed for some reason. It’s absurd.
Six fish in a tiny ass bowl? Pretty sure Susan there is a fish sadist and the dead one will stay there to torment the others until they ultimately share its fate.
Humans feel pain, but we don’t feel the oxidation happening in us constantly. I’d say it’s more about what you’re built for rather than strictly a concept of pain.
