I avoid G! as much as possible. I am not signed up for any of their services/accounts but I still stumble across pages using G! maps, etc.

I really stopped trusting them when they dropped their "Don't be evil" motto. Pretty clear sign of what was to come.

Reasonable strategy.

Mine is to carefully consider the need for "extras". But because prices are better and returns are easy I lean more towards purchasing than not. I am less inclined to purchase at other stores where prices are higher and returns nor complicated.

If you are a pirate VPN is an essential tool. I am trying to ascertain the popularity of various VPNs in piracy community. I'm sure there is a LOT of additional information about "what you can do", but here are some very simple starting points. You can do these today if you want.

  1. Only use Firefox with uBlock Origin installed/active for web browsing.
  2. Use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). https://protonvpn.com is considered one of the best.
  3. Turn off location services on your phone (this will probably be controversial but I think it makes a lot of sense).
