It’s 5am and I usually don’t get up this early but my body is just not cooperating these days and I can’t sleep … nor can I work … nor can I really move much … it’s really frustrating because I can actually still lift about a hundred pounds and move heavy things … but about 10 percent of my arm movements are pure agony. Sitting at my desk is the best thing right now … and the only benefit is in being able to binge watch Star Trek.
It’s allowed me to watch the first season of Discovery … and just like the crew, my spore drive broke down … but I haven’t been able to find my way back to my universe yet.
If being sick or unwell or having a bad day has any benefit … it’s that it allows you time to go through Star Trek … it is definitely a place of comfort.
spoilerGreat show but I was bit disturbed that they introduced Stamet’s partner Culber and then suddenly just killed him off … I thought it was a great side story but to just drop it off like that was a bit stupid I thought.
I can’t work physically or even mentally right now because of the pain … seated at my desk with very comfortable arm rests to stabilize my arms is the only position I can manage right now … on the bright side, sitting still is making my go through a marathon watch of Star Trek: Discovery … I was only up to five episodes … now I’m almost finished season one … my spore drive has broken down but hopefully, I’ll make it back to my normal universe again soon. I find the art of editing is the first impression.
If you can fool the eye within the first five seconds, it doesn’t matter what the little details are.
Usually the thing that gets me with a bad edit is lighting and coloring. There are subtle things that the eye, no matter who it is, automatically notices.
If you get those wrong you have two options … either part of the joke is the obvious bad edit … or you just messed up the edit and it ruined the joke.
The one you did here was great … it definitely got me in the first five seconds. Great edit.
