Pasta with scrambled eggs, cheese, and sugar… is how I gained a lot of weight back in the day. Pasta has eggs and carbohydrates in it already, so it’s kind of like “Pasta+ with cheese”.

What about ways in which “being privileged”, turns out to actually be a hindrance?

I used to be a healthy, fit, educated, not poor, not homeless, white, tall, man, blonde, with blue eyes… oh, and high IQ.

Wait, did I just describe the Aryan ideal? Ultra-privileged, right?

What pisses me off, is that after being aware of those privileges from relatively early, and being really careful to never abuse any of them, when it turns out that I need help, instead I get my privileges thrown in my face.

It’s not a privilege to get mocked and laughed off by doctors, to get failed by teachers, to get your work destroyed, to not get believed about family problems, all because “you’re privileged”.

Heck, I once almost got run over by a car, because I nodded at a black girl to let her pass first, and she went off her way to hit me with the stroller with her baby inside, pushing me off the curb into traffic. Like, seriously?

So what, did I live my life wrong? Should have joined some neo-Nazi group? Should have used my privileges to abuse and scam everyone left and right? Should have kicked the baby…? The fuck.

That seems to say you should use all your privileges all you can, “but for the good”… while trying not to use them, striving for actual meritocracy, is the wrong way?

Yeah, in retrospect those might be wise words, in a “when among wolves, bite first then be good later” sense, but I find it kind of shitty as a goal for society. Oh well.

The 1940’s One Million Plan actually got amended after the Holocaust by stirring up a civil war so more Jews from Arab countries would flee in fear of prosecution in order to meet the Zionist numbers, precisely because “too many” Western countries were accepting (or got forced to accept) Holocaust refugees, who were nowhere as many as previously expected (by the Zionists).

Not long enough.

Conflict in the area has been going on for anywhere between 4000 and 200,000 years (lower paleolithic). Since the invention of writing, people of different origins have been able to transmit their religious claims to the region for thousands of years.

200 years would barely put a dent on it.

As for borders, by following the Declaration of Independence itself:

The British mandate was over the whole “Mandatory Palestine”… but the declaration talks about the State of Israel being “in Eretz-Israel”, without specifying any explicit borders.

The “spirit” of the text can be interpreted as intended to follow the borders of the UN resolution… maybe.

Since the resolution clearly was not accepted by the Arab states, it would require some further analysis whether that means Israel is supposed to prioritize establishing an economic union of the whole land, or strictly follow the resolution.

“Antisemitism” is technically a BS word, just like the “Semitism” word it comes from. It was invented in the 1800s by some proto-Nazis, adopted in the 1900s by Nazis after the concept was already debunked, and continued in the 2000s by neo-Nazis. Nothing to be either jealous or proud of.

Since 70CE, all Jews have been required to both read and understand the Torah, while other religions relied on priests “interpreting” the sacred texts for uneducated peasants, leading to Jewish literacy levels of 70% or more in countries with otherwise a 3% or less during the Middle Ages. At the same time, both Christians and Muslims were forbidden from “usury”, or charging interest on loans (Muslim banking still is), but guess who wasn’t: Jews. And who’d guess it, the Diaspora meant there was one or a dozen Jews pretty much in every city. As commerce grew all over the world, merchants used to go to literate Jews, like the ones sitting on the bench (“banca”) in Florence, asking for loans and generally to do what nobody else was either capable or allowed to do, like letting them carry bank notes instead of coffers full of gold, redeemable at other “branches”. Big surprise, some centuries later, you can trace most of the financial world back to Jews, both the concepts and ownership.

Also not a coincidence there have been so many famous Jewish artists, scientists or inventors. Anyone who’s got a problem with that, can thank their own religious ancestry for the cultural suicide.

Russia and Belarus also use fear to control their citizens. Setting a place on fire to make the state fear you, definitely can be called terrorism. Asking for sanctions against a state… hm, kind of? Technically, many of the sanctions against Russia are also intended to instill fear, including amongst civilians so they stop supporting their state. Making the EU fear whether it will have enough fuel for the winter, is another case.

There’s a lot of terrorising going around these days.

It is not a meaningful word

Disagree.

“Terrorism” has a clear meaning, and observing when people use it, or avoid using it, is even more meaningful, as proven by those examples.

PS: I’ve been called a “no freeloading terrorist”, a “TV remote terrorist”, and a “cleaning terrorist”. It may not tell you much about what I did, but it should convey enough meaning about what they were thinking.

Possible. To my excuse, I heard it on TV (on a supposedly reputable channel, but still).

Another thing I’ve heard, is that apparently Russia would’ve been supplying Hamas with the NATO weapons they’ve been seizing in Ukraine from among the ones supplied as NATO aid.

According to one estimate, Europe’s farm animals have a bigger carbon footprint than its cars.

According to another estimate, leisure cruise ships had a 10x bigger footprint than all Europe’s cars…

But still, it’s great news to reduce farm animal carbon footprint. Not sure whether feeding larvae to piglets will achieve that though (they provide “stimulation”? ugh…), there seem to be better —direct— uses like insect flour, no need to even chew on them whole, although that’s also an option.
