I stumbled across this with perfect timing. A buddy of mine had just texted me that this week was rough and was a “test week”. Just sent it to him, which might not help his situation, but certainly made me feel better.

Is there a confidently incorrect community yet?

Better Call Saul is easy, you just move onto El Camino. Then when you’re done, move onto Breaking Bad. Then you go to Better Call Saul again.

Is it just me or is that an unnecessarily long swatch?

Also there’s probably a dick joke in here somewhere…

Finish Breaking Bad: “Well I suppose I should watch Better Call Saul.”

Finished Better Call Saul: “Well I suppose I should watch Breaking Bad.”

Rinse and repeat.

Why is youtube recommending conservative "talking points" to me?

Hi, I am a guy in early thirties with a wife and two kids and whenever I go on youtube it always suggests conservative things like guys dunking on women, ben shapiro reacting to some bullshit, joe rogan, all the works. I almost never allow it to go to that type of video and when I do it is either by accident or by curiosity. My...

You can see what Google (thinks it) knows about you.

  • Go to your Google Account (myaccount.google.com)
  • Manage your Google Account
  • Select Privacy and personalisation.
  • Under this Data & privacy page you’ll find History Settings, Ad Settings, and more.
  • For example, go to Ad Settings and click on Ad Personalization.
  • Now you’ll see How your ads are personalized.

I think you can even remove stuff if you want.

I'm being harassed by mosquitoes, how do i kill them all?

To my knowledge there’s no stagnant water on my property, I’ve run water through all my ptraps, and I’m careful to not leave doors open. Yet at any given time there’s at least 3 in my house. I can’t sleep, i can’t sit on the couch, i can’t exist in the fear of being sucked dry....

I would also include a clause that says I never have to see it ever. It can basically be a roommate that lives in the basement and has their own entrance in the garage.

Not sure if this is good or bad news for our great (10^6) grandchildren. On the one hand, maybe they’ll see less spiders. On the other hand, urban-camo spiders sounds horrifying.

Same, but I’ve combined my teeth brushing with showering. It gives you a nice excuse to zone out in the shower for just a bit longer.

Ooo that’s fancy, I like it!

What are some missing features that you'd consider crucial to the success of kbin?

jballs,
@jballs@sh.itjust.works avatar

I don't use Kbin, so this is a fediverse thing in general. But the biggest thing I struggle with is multiple communities getting added in different places for the same thing. Most people don't want to check Ask Lemmy, Ask Kbin, and Ask a dozen different spots. They just want it all in one consolidated place like Ask Reddit.

I feel like an app could help solve that by aggregating the communities into one view. But even then, you'd likely get a lot of reposts stemming from the individual communities. Not sure if there could ever be a solution for this, since it's the biggest selling point of the fediverse.
