Anyone sitting or standing the whole day at work is very prone to get circulation problems later in life. I don’t know how good these socks are for prevention though.

If he manages to apply an easy removable layer to the gluey part, then the person will be holding a sticker in his hands.

It’s all about being able to carry it around without it sticking anywhere, but also just to stick it anywhere you like, after easily removing said layer.

The machines were always set up by the client’s team, mostly not being anymore onboard. I only got the server address + credentials, so i could check for web related issues on them. I am experienced enough to know how inexperienced i am with things other than my area of work.

Sometimes they had issues on machines they only had credentials to, but no one to fix. The main sudo trouble i sometimes had, was when trying to work on websites, that were all created by root …

I sometimes get into some kind of fight, if I’m not really logged in as root and have to do things the sudo way. I’m not so deep in Linux, so I’ll ask bluntly:

Is it always a user error if you have trouble doing things with sudo or is it possible that the way sudo was configured for your user makes your life hard?

Over the years i had lots of clients, where i would be given sudo rights and the experiences doing so were pretty diverse, ranging from “feeling at home and just typing away” to “am i fucking crazy? Nothing goes as expected”

You don’t need to imagine, that’s the sad part

Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong

I have come across a lot’s of people like these. like 99% of them. Sometimes it makes me think twice if what i am saying is wrong? What’s wrong with them. Is it so hard to swallow your pride and acknowledge that the other person is speaking facts? When they come to know they are wrong they proceed to insult/make fun of...

I’ll try sleeping it out

Edit: talking about sleeping, made me wonder: are the kids in bed? It’s already pretty late

Disney is gouging customers with a near doubling of subscription costs. (sh.itjust.works)

Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I’m off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here’s the proof.

Final Space also won’t be available anywhere, forever.

In the 2000s i was always looking for music and found a Forum from Ukraine called FunkySouls that covered all new releases and was active until a few days after Russia invaded. There were some threads with excellent taste and i really miss those guys.

Cuntroll from Russia also has some good artists.

After i found that Moon Wiring Club was on Bandcamp, i took a look around and found a lot of good music. When i buy something, it’s usually from Bandcamp.

I saw Kyuss live a loong time ago, thanks for the tip. This made me think of Boris’ new EP “me when the when i”. They were always a tad too experimental for me to keep them on repeat. Their newest album though, is a very very smooth release - chill ass rock describes it perfectly.

I also stumbled on the label subsist on Bandcamp some time ago and have gotten almost all releases and eagerly waiting for new releases. Excellent raw electronics.

Oh, they weren’t mp3 files. Iirc it was stuff like darude-sandstorm-live-mp3.exe or eminem-without-me-mp3.exe.

It wasn’t Napster’s fault, ISDN at the time was what most people had. 1 internet + 1 phone line. You got online with max 68 Kbps. Bundling both lines got you 128 Kbps, then the phone line would be obviously busy giving you more speed, rendering the phone unusable.

Those were fun times in households with more than 1 member.

Both are the real speedy clean & squishy relaxed deal. Enough energy to clean a lot, but take your time at some spots, because stoned focus removes the sturdiest of stains.

It’s not like any other country was that keen on building pyramids, like ever. Which of the cultures and/or races they enslaved would have experienced pyramid builders to boot?

Even in Egypt, building pyramids was a very niche hobby.

Don’t worry. I’ve heard researchers came up with a new food resource. It’s supposed to be super healthy and low cost.

Stay tuned for Soylent Green™

I hope it was a short trip, for both of them.

It’s really a good contrast to OP’s pic.
