do you find it difficult to get into games? I’ve got Epic Games and Steam Games libraries chock-full of classic top-tier games along with many other newer games like Stray or 2077, and a bunch of indie titles. I just can’t be bothered to download and install them, much less try to get into the characters and storylines. Used...
I have too much other shit going on and can’t mentally set it all aside any more which keeps me from getting immersed in games. There’s just always something else in the back of my mind I’m also thinking about when I’m trying to play. I try getting everything done first so I can concentrate but there’s just so much.
I’m talking about a massive park in the absolute heart of the city. Located such that is naturally surrounded by city high rises. *People are giving examples of parks that are way off in the boonies. I’m trying to say located centrally, heart of the city, you know where the high rises are. Yes I understand nyc has more, the...
I used to play magic with my friends when I was in school and we made the mistake of actually going to the game shop and trying to play with people there. We all got demolished by the tryhard dudes there because we just made decks with cards we thought were cool and they all knew the meta gaming stuff. On top of that they were assholes about it. We never tried that again.
I did manage to win one game with a combo I had that allowed me to generate an infinite number of 1/1 tokens but that was sheer luck.
It’s a way of passive aggressively calling you out for shit and yea it’s rude as hell. I’d argue airing out dirty laundry to their friends at all is pretty rude regardless of if you’re present or not. I know I’ve had shit I’d rather people not know get out because of GFs gossiping with each other.
We had another shop in the chain I worked for fire everyone for doing that when I was a mechanic. There were no injuries but the neighboring businesses called 911 because they thought there was a bomb.
I tried that once. I literally showed him a picture. His response was to ask me what I was working on and then when I explained. He was like "oh you should do this instead and pointed me towards something that wouldn’t work for what I was trying to do at all. Then he argued with me about it. I was like… man just show me where this fucking item is I don’t give a shit about your opinions I know what I’m doing. He had no idea and I had to go find it myself.
Ours does this too. Except they stick to their guns and we end up having to just work around the new impediment they’ve created for months until it happens to inconvenience someone with enough pull to make them change it.
I always skip going to restaurants for a while if one of the staff starts recognizing me. It’s like yea that was a nice guy but I don’t really want to be having conversations in the 20 minutes I have to go get lunch and go back to work.
Just went down the aliexpress rabbit hole again. Theres really everythinf for some of really niche things that i wouldnt ever buy, but some things really do look appealing. I wonder what do you guys use daily thats worth lets say under $20
A place I used to work at gave us big rolls of double sided velcro for cable management purposes. Me and another guy built a jig to split them in half so it was 1/4" instead of 1/2". Worked great and I still have a ton of those rolls we made from leaving it in my pocket at the end of the day. Very handy stuff to have around.
Gamers who have gamed for a long time
