My son’s Psychologist has repeated to us that our kid will do much better in a house with parents in a secure relationship than the one we have now. Which isn’t hard to believe, when your mom is belittling everything your dad does and your dad says things quietly to her that make mom explode.

Personally, I think he would have benefitted from a relationship where she didn’t send nudes to the guy she cheated on me with 3 years ago, but maybe I’m just that unattractive and distracted by work.

I inadvertently switched my thrichotillamania to my beard a few years ago.

I miss it terribly. Shaving is so much work, and while it’s relaxing, inevitably an ingrown hair pops up and retriggers everything anyway when I attempt to grow it back.

I’ve been worried I permanently destroyed it like the guy in the meme, but I had my thumb bound up for 5ish weeks and it came back in nicely before I decimated it again.

Yes, but I think “FanDom” implies “Fanatical Domination” meaning someone in The “FanDom” of a certain thing is sexually aroused by dominating other with their fanatical following of said thing.

That’s the only explanation I’ve been able to come up with and I find it hilarious so I’m sticking with it.

I wanted to work with FPGAs.

Got set up on designing test systems.

Now I do .Net and Angular.

I miss hardware from the standpoint that it really makes sense. I don’t miss hardware when the magic smoke comes out because I fucked up

It’s been so long since I’ve touched RTL and the last time I used VHDL/Verilog was college.

I probably could get back into it, but I’d only be qualified as an entry level, and I’m 10 years into software industry making a comfortable salary, I don’t know that I could take the pay cut due to other life shit.

It doesn’t really matter what I’m doing, just being able to play pokemon all day with my son while I’m on PTO today makes it all worth it.

But wiping the floor with my friends isn’t fun. I’ve settled on not using Roy/Ike, Captain Flacon/Ganondorf, Mewtwo/Locario, Donkey Kong and Samus. Actually I haven’t used them in so long I’ve probably handicapped myself with at least some of them
