I am all in favor for heavily regulated and checked capitalism. Like it or not, its the most successful system and it can be a source for good when heavily regulated and used as an input source for a socialist system that takes care of all.
There are still problems. The mobile app recently got loads better but still has some pretty major issues with subtitles, showing that subtitles either are barely tested, or the dev simply doesn’t have the resources required or finished the app in a better way. Right now you cannot watch two episodes of a show in a row over Chromecast with subtitles without the last subtitles of the previous show frozen in screen and the new subtitles being display above those. Gotta disconnect Chromecast, shutdown the app, restart everything. This is super annoying but still light-years better than the previous mobiel app that would basically require a reinstall after each episode.
There are many other issues too, scrubbing is much better again, but still problematic and tents to freeze, requiring restarting everything.
Jellyfin is awesome but I can’t really let my wife use it, as she doesn’t have the computer patience that I have.

I love “the good place”. It’s light comedy, it actually makes you think a little, it’s a lot of feel good and it’s one of those shows where you can see that everyone is having a blast making it.

The problem is that there are no Nazis. Nazi’s stopped existing in 1945, anything after that are people that sympathize with some or all of its ideologies. The problem is that its a sliding scale and people these days are VERY trigger happy to call out NAZI! I’ve been called a Nazi on Reddit (and banned from multiple sub reddits) for literally arguing that I’m not sure how good an idea it is to give puberty blockers to kids that might be trans, specially because these blockers do have consequences later in life.

I’ve talked a LOT on reddit, I had over 130K karma over probably the same amount of messages. I don’t recall talking to Nazi’s much, if ever. I have had quite a few deep discussions with people on the far right part of the spectrum and it helped me a lot understanding them, where they come from, and why they have the ideas that they have. I call that progress. You can listen to somebody and politely agree to disagree.
What you are pushing for tends to end in censorship. Can’t talk about naughty things now! Can’t disagree with the masses! All look in the same direction! Don’t dare to step out of line!
It also ends in situations where douchenozzles like Trump become president of the USA because the right feels like they no longer have a voice (which truthfully, is correct), so push back harder and extremer.
We MUST allow dissenting voices. Yes, if somebody scants “KILL THE JEWS!”, you ban him of course. But if there is a conversation happening about, say, the “US bathroom issues” I think we should allow dissenting voices. As long as the conversations are respectful and thoughtful, the worst that could happen is progress.
Nazi’s are members of the Nazi party. Nazi’s, like the party, no longer exists. What does exist are Neo-Nazi’s. Semantics, perhaps, but when talking about “Nazi’s”, details become important. With that in mind, I wonder if you can tell a little more about who attacked you how?

Reality check: Capitalism is also the very big reason why you have a computer on your desk or in your hands in the shape of a phone to write about the evils of capitalism. Capitalism is at its core about the freedoms to share and acquire resources in the most efficient way possible. Does it have big BIG problems with runaway effects where a single person can suddenly pheewwww shoot into the sky and start resource hogging? Absolutely. Should that be legally limited and curbed? Absolutely! Is that currently done well? Absofuckinglutely not!
But none of that means that “communism will save us”. Dear god, please please don’t be THAT naive, don’t believe in santa claus.
If you want to spend your free time in a commune to help hippies or whatever it is that you want to do, I applaud you. Seriously, well done. But you WILL have to work for a home. You WILL have to work for food, and that computer you have in your hand to curse the evils of capitalism. And you have to work so that when we all do that, that resources get moved over the world so that the farmer gets his equipment that he needs to farm the grains that he sends to a supermarket that gets bought by a baker which you then buy in the shape of a bread loaf… We all work together.
Again, is there a shit tonne of abuse going on? Of course. Nobody denies that. Is that abuse being curbed? Nope. Should we hang the ultra rich that have been abusing this system? Nah, lets not hang people. I’m not for violence. But should we tax them 100% of their income until their posessions are within a reasonable range? Absolutely.
But communism is not the answer, please learn some history about the “successes” (meaning ALL failures, no exceptions) of comnunism. Read about the famines, the suppression, the torture, the corruption and the crap that comes with that to make it work. I like my freedom. I don’t need piles of cash and people generally should not be allowed to have piles. You do that with laws and taxing and enforcing. Lets focus on that instead.
