I proposed not one but two pragmatic suggestions to implement what we’re asking for, and instead of thinking about what I’m saying, you’re just laughing me off and dismissing me because you don’t care about having an honest conversation. You forget that my suggestions aren’t actually for you. They’re for the benefit of everyone else in the thread. You’re nothing but a springboard for us to jump off of to think and actually make what we want happen.
I guess sitting on your rotten, cigarette hole filled couch in your rotting Alabama trailer and putting down anyone who is different from you is better than actually doing anything to better your life. Like getting a GED, or actually doing honest work instead of living off of government benefits and hypocritically attacking anyone who supports government programs to help the needy like yourself.
Honestly, even if we replaced current employment with a 10-year indentured servitude contract with a guaranteed 1000 sq. ft. home and free utilities and maintenance for the rest of your life, that’d still be better than what we have now in a lot of ways.
People only like the system we’re in because it provides the illusion of choice, not actual choices.
That’s just the excuse they use. Sadly it works on a lot of people who think it’s a legitimate question when it’s not, and is in fact easily disproved.
Take away their wallet, phone or medicine and then ask them if they still aren’t sure. Or point a gun at their head and ask them if they’re not sure a bullet will blast through their skull and kill them if they don’t stop talking.
Or just tell them that means their religion is still bupkis because if we can’t be sure, we can’t accept it as true. Hold them to their standards.
People need to organize now, not just to prep for violence but to ensure there’s some kind of social safety net to fall back on when shit hits the fan.
And you know what would fix it? Building your own website that doesn’t do those things and making the people around you engage with it instead of you capitulating to them, but why put effort into anything when you can sit around and complain about it and do nothing about it?
