Oh please stop with these ridiculous made-up conditions, “trypophobia” is not a real disorder.

Upvote for partial agreement, but why the attack on atheism? It’s not extreme to not believe, in fact, it sounds utterly ridiculous that you want moderate or liberal people to believe a little bit in fairy tales, but not too much. There simply is no middle ground with regard to religion, either you delude yourself or you accept the obvious implausibility, lack of evidence and irrationality inherent to them.

You don’t sound so bad for pushing 120!

My father had a Casio watch with built-in computation capabilities in the 80s, and in the socialist state of East Germany at that, so you could definitely carry an arithmetic calculator with you anywhere!

Yep, I think Debian is getting too little love from the Lemmy Linux community

Not really bad, but as many others have pointed out, the previous logo was better and more recognisable, I see no real reason behind this change

How many of you run a Linux phone (Pine64, Librem etc) as your daily driver?

I was going through Pine64’s page again after I found the latest KDE announcement. With that said, I seem to see a lot of issues with firmware on the Pine, whilst the Librem is just plain out of budget for me. Was interested in how many people here run a Linux mobile as a daily driver, and how has your experience been?...

The problem is not Android. It is as open as any other Linux distribution. The problem is that manufacturers make the drivers for their hardware proprietary.

AI opponents are very butthurt people

While agree with this sentiment, it is important to note that many tasks in school do not enrich the student as a person and their capabilities, but are mundane and/or repetitive failures of a badly designed curriculum. I can absolutely understand why students would want to automate such exercises.

Downvotes are from people who like to be unhappy. I absolutely agree with your sentiment!

You cannot announce something like this and then not post a link ;)

Pirated video games SOURCE CODE

So there are multiple sites&groups that pirate video games especially on PC. I was wondering if there are places on the internet where you find source code for games especially the highly modifiable ones like Half Life 2/Portal and Skyrim. Or groups that crack into the source code of games (or even software in general), not only...

More powerful decompilers would definitely be a very useful application of AI!

I think that your priorities are horrible. If the things you listed are enough to get you to abandon GNU/Linux, then FOSS might really not be for you. Also, you describe yourself as tech savvy, but I find that doubtful judging from the experiences you recounted and the non-technical way in which you write.

ricdeh,

Not plausible. You are either lying or lack the skill and experience for handling your system, the latter of which would be okay if you were to admit it.

Same! Thought of some kind of SMD chip!
