How to pull rocks out of pipe in the ground?

My mom has a hole in the ground that she puts her clothes drying hanger in. Like this. The hole in the ground is a 2" or so pipe, set in concrete. The pipe has filled with gravel. Anyone have a tip on getting the rocks out? I can only get so many out using my fingers and then trying to use a set of chopsticks.

She can’t slide the clothesline into the hole to set it up.

sin_free_for_00_days,

If the long spoon, backscratcher, or shop vac doesn’t get it done, I’ll give this a try. Thanks.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I feel really stupid that this didn’t even cross my mind. I’ll give it a go. Thanks.

The tube that actually support the clothes hanging part needs to slide into the hole and the gravel is blocking it.

Capitalism, minus a strong guiding hand as described by Adam Smith, invariably leads to monopolies, or near enough. When that happens, either through a single strong monopoly or a small group of companies, the market doesn’t work and price gouging rises. You don’t have to look further back than the past couple years at inflation. Every study I have seen blames inflation almost completely on price gouging and market failing to work for consumers. Think record prices (and corresponding record profits) of companies across the board. If you want specific examples, check out the long history of Walmart and the negative effects its stores have on local competition and local earnings. Or the profit taking of gas companies. Or super market chains. Or…

People who love Capitalism always seem to have missed high school history/econ and have this ignorant belief that laissez-faire is the best. Even though proven to be shitty. This belief in trickle down bullshit has resulted in 50 trillion dollars going from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. If that’s not capitalism destroying itself, I’m not sure what else to say.

Or as Leonard Cohen sang so succinctly,“The poor stay poor, the rich get rich / that’s how it goes / everybody knows.”

sin_free_for_00_days,

I read that he sold his real estate and was staying in a place owned by another billionaire while looking for a place. That was a couple of years ago, I don’t really follow that fuckhead.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I love watching the old Bird trash talking videos. I hated him back then just because I was a Lakers fan, but I had no idea he talked so much. James Worthy said,“Larry Bird was an asshole!”

sin_free_for_00_days,

He’s not really known for it, but at 6’10" or whatever, he didn’t have any issue dunking. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXBeOYyfsA8

sin_free_for_00_days,

I think you may be confused about left vs right, as far as political definitions go.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I know repulicunts love to shit on “dem cities”, but which large republican cities are doing it right?

sin_free_for_00_days,

LOL. OK, I see you’re one of those. Not worth any more time.

sin_free_for_00_days,

If I’m not back by morning…call the president.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I had one of those devices. I was prescribed it after being in the hospital for an unrelated reason. Had no idea I needed one, made a hell of a difference. I was contacted by the recall and gave them all my info. They have let me know several times that they won’t send me a new one unless I can send the prescription from 10 years ago. The sleep study place was contracted with the hospital, but the office has since closed. I let them know and they just told me,“Too bad, so sad.” I was able to buy a used machine off Craigslist for $180 that is better than that old Phillips. Sorry for the verbal spew, all just to say, fuck Philips.

sin_free_for_00_days,

LOL, I cracked a beer open one night and my kid laughed, pointed, and yelled out,"You are a Homer!!"

EDIT: I also remember when DARE came to my school and this cop had a big baggie of weed on his table. I said,“Damn! That’s a lot of weed!”

Then the cop replied, very seriously,“THAT’S ENOUGH MARIJUANA TO KILL YOU!!”

My friends and I just laughed and walked away.

A lot of China growth and a lot of ¯*(ツ)*/¯ growth.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I’m guessing a 50-some year old reliving their glory days, fully ignorant of the irony or just celebrating their lives asleep to the fact they are working for a shitty industry. But, if I’m honest with myself, I’m always thinking of the worst outcome. If it is an actual self-aware joust at the system from the inside, then that is pretty funny.

sin_free_for_00_days,

Am I the only one who was trying to find the time piece in the picture?

sin_free_for_00_days,

There are a lot of us here that have been fighting the status quo for decades. Our failure does not seem to merit ridicule and scorn. It’s awful living through this time.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I was never really scared of much until I had a kid.

sin_free_for_00_days,

I got into an argument with my girlfriend when I was going to University. I jumped on my bike to blow off some steam / just get some space with quiet. I’m riding down the residential street I lived on in a shitty party of town, and the fucking police helicopter lit me up for a good block and a half. That was about 30 years ago. I can’t imagine things have gotten better.
