Everyone in the replies here is sleeping on the raw emulation power of most people's phone, doubly so if you're willing to bt sync a controller to it. I've got a significant percentage of the SNES and PS1 libraries playable on mine.
Netflix used to be that and everyone bought the hell out of it. Then it enshittened and all the shows moved to proprietary platforms and now you need 19 subscriptions to get a selection of shows you care about. No thanks.
There are powerful lessons to be learned from the successes of Steam and Spotify if only the relevant people look and listen.
It's also possible in 5e for a raging barbarian to fall an indeterminate distance at free fall and never die from it. You could orbital shock drop a gang of bugbears onto your opponent's military encampment from literal space, and every one of them would stand up ready to fight as long as they started the fall with greater than 60 hit points.
In short, 5e rules for falling damage are pretty silly and it's best to ignore or re-rule those if you expect to use it in any sort of sensible situation.
maximum height allowance on vehicle’s headlights so that they’re not right in a sedan’s driver’s rearview mirror when a pickup is tailgating
That's actually already legally mandated at least in states that require state inspections. Headlight angle is supposed to be one of the things you have to check in order to pass inspection.
In practice, mostly nobody checks it and it doesn't matter. But it should.
The distinction is becoming a lot smaller these days. I can sync a Bluetooth keyboard to my phone and pull off quite a bit of fuckery that would typically require a laptop.
Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Malta, Northern Ireland and Scotland all have ranked choice vote. Slovenia had it previously but regressed to FPTP in 2021.
Message at the bottom sounds like someone trying to distance themselves from reddit and Twitter. It's an excellent move that I support completely. It's free, the content gets delivered to you directly upon it being uploaded, and a newsletter doesn't want any extra data out of you other than an email address to send your letters to.
Also the comics will probably end up posted here anyway, since it doesn't ask you not to repost them, so why does it matter?
If I fought and killed over the right to own and abuse another human being, I would hope people would show up to piss on my grave. This is more respect than they deserve.
And don't try to say they were a product of their time, either, because so was Cassius Clay and that man landed on the right side of history after being born to the richest slave owner in America. If he could buck that trend then so could all these other assholes.
The parts of life I'm not satisfied with are the facts that my country is rapidly sliding into becoming a fascist ethnostate, our tax code is fucked six ways to Sunday, corporations are unaccountable to the law, I can barely afford food anymore because of corporations being unaccountable to the law and our tax code being fucked, my society is being actively destroyed by religious fanatics and schools can no longer be trusted to educate anyone.

An AI will only be worried about the things that it is programmed to worry about. We don't see our LLM's talking about climate change or silicon shortages, for example.
The well-being of the world and universe at large will certainly not be one of the prime directives that humans program into their AIs.
Personally I'd be more worried about an infinite-paperclips kind of situation where an AI maximizes efficiency at the cost of much else.
Well... Yeah. Otherwise they wouldn't ask me for a credit card for a free trial of a service. It's always been obvious that that's their aim, refusing a single use credit card isn't some big "gotcha" moment here. Free trials only exist anymore in order to steal money at the end of the trial period, counting on the user forgetting to cancel. This is a known quantity.
Also fuck you Dagoth, I heard you talking shit. The wall gnomes tell me your boys haven't touched grass in so long that their faces rotted off. Maybe if you got rid of that yee-yee ass golden mask you might get some goddesses on your dick. N'waaaaaah
They will then counter this with "Well if they just shut up and minded their own business instead of telling everybody all about how much cock they suck, it wouldn't matter", completely missing the point that these folks have been minding their own business for centuries and regularly getting murdered for it, and also completely missing the extremely obvious parallels to Jim Crow and the civil rights movement (or maybe not, maybe that's why they hate it so much). It is their opinion that they shouldn't have to know you're gay, and that you should have to live in fear of revealing that fact for your entire lifetime. And that's just the crowd that doesn't believe that homosexuality is a direct affront to God and should be stamped out as a moral imperative.
I've had this conversation before a few times, it always comes back around to the same points. Conservatives become extremely unconformable with the knowledge that The Gays(R) exist and typically wield misunderstood Bible quotation in defense of that. Those who don't, will resort to the argument that they shouldn't have to have it "thrust into their faces", as though the knowledge that gay folks exist is some great personal burden to them. They will happily tell people to "mind their own business" and "keep it to yourself" so long as their lungs have air with which to speak, but when told themselves to mind their own damn business, suddenly this is unacceptable.
