It’s fucking terrifying. Imagine high schoolers struggling with writing their own name.
This made me skip everything that came after. Even illiterate kids can probably memorize their names, even if they can’t sound out words. Back up your claim and I’ll reconsider.
Elsewhere, in this thread, you’ll see me champion reading and learning. I’m horribly saddened that kids don’t learn to read well. But this statement seems hyperbolic.
Bah. I love my friends’ kids but I’m not above joking that the dad should abandon his family when he can’t hang out. Or tie them to a stake in the backyard when he can’t get a sitter. Absurdity is funny when it’s obvious that it’s absurd.
Edit: My bad. I was distracted and interpreted this as a local stream from a device in your home, like a Plex server. If you’re using a streaming service then Netflix or whoever sends through your vpn.
It’s local. Nothing is leaving your network. You would have to deliberately open a port on your router for it to get back in after going through the VPN. That’s how you can verify that it’s local.
Can recycle (glad I don’t have to go out in the rain is true any time it’s gonna rain), but I try to keep them unique. I also try not to focus on things related to commercialism. For example, I might be glad I got to go to a live show (an event) but I don’t list something like being happy about being able to buy a thing (especially luxury goods). But I can be happy that I have a thing that makes my life easier in a concrete way (that new toothbrush really kicks ass). I go for small things most of all, the ones that otherwise might be taken for granted. Hope that makes sense the way I wrote it.
I’m gonna sound like a dick who didn’t really address the intended question, but why use those sites? Not being on corporate social media solves the problem. I know that doesn’t work for a lot of people, so apologies to those folks.
Is it shallow, or petty, to decide based on name alone? Yeah, pretty much, but there’s probably something, a product or service or site, that the name has made you gloss right over it or jump to it ASAP....
We heard your feedback during the launch of the Fedora Slimbook 16 and, along with the folks from Slimbook, bring you the new Fedora Slimbook 14, a smaller, lighter, cheaper with even better battery life, version of the Fedora Slimbook, powered by an Intel CPU and GPU (unfortunetely no AMD version soon).
I have 500gb SSD and need to basically uninstall Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3 to install Baldur’s Gate 3. I want to buy new SSD, but my money is a bit tight right now as I’m saving for my degree’s tuition fee....
Sorry for not being able to offer insightful feedback. This caused me to look up current prices for 500GB spinning disks and holy shit. Something that used to be barely attainable (for me, then) is so cheap now that I said, “holy shit,” out loud.
I love steamed (not boiled) asparagus. Though for most of my life, vegetables were just a vehicle for butter and salt. I’ve pulled way back on how much I use in recent years.
My buddy makes the most delicious grilled asparagus. He’s a real pro and it’s a treat to bbq with him.
Always do both. Ideally have three copies of your data at all times. For the most important stuff, I also sent a drive to a family member in a different part of the county in case of natural disaster.
