someguy3,

Good luck in the rain!

Have we seriously forgotten how shelter works?

someguy3,

Mickey and Minnie without gloves are free. I imagine any depiction with oversized white gloves will be sued.

someguy3,

FYI: The US doesn’t use Imperial, they use US Customary. Volumes are different. Troy weights are usually called Troy (ounces).

You go deep enough and very Windows 95 looking menus pop up. Like are they building over the old system? It’s all very strange.

someguy3,

I would have never read healthy burgers.

someguy3,

He never struck me as being actually knowledgable about tech. He knows the consumer level stuff, just enough to review things. But anything deeper than that he never touches.

someguy3,

So what’s the effect? Hearing loss?

someguy3, (edited )

Can someone help me out and tell me how they would be pronounced?

I think I got par-teh-cleese.

Moe-leck-you-leese?

This is what smartphones have taken from us.

Salt? That’s it, your head’s going on the griddle.

I think this is a common “trick” to help heat your home if the power goes out. Putting a pot over 4 tea candles doesn’t change how much heat it produces. But it does slow down the hot air path, so instead of going straight to the ceiling it bounces around at lower heights. And you get a little bit of radiant heat from the pot, but see laws of physics. It’s more about the distribution of the heat.
