stolid_agnostic,

The constant reinstalling of windows. I actively resisted it because I wasn’t interested in learning something new. My laziness eventually kicked in and it was easier to learn Linux.

stolid_agnostic,

I miss the old Tab Mix Plus. I customized that crap out of that thing and it was lovely.

stolid_agnostic,

There were people back in the day who thought that the internet was that fancy E on the desktop (internet explorer) and would have their brains melt when trying to explain alternatives. I think that people now have this problem with a fancy G.

stolid_agnostic,

Fortunately there’s so much chatter on this that maybe it won’t be that way.

Does NPC mean the same as “low value human”? Asking for a friend.

Also, what a terrible take.

Sadly, their user base is really every idiot with a cell phone or MacBook and not those of us who do as you suggest.

stolid_agnostic,

I’m sorry, but you work with a bunch of morons of they are harassing you about it.

stolid_agnostic,

The only ones who can’t are those who have that SUUUPER special plugin that they need and they won’t look at FF alternatives.

stolid_agnostic,

I think you just proved the meme lol

I suspect that the sensor has the same dimensions, roughly, as the phone itself. Putting in a square one would probably cost more. Not saying that either way is right, just that that’s probably the reason.

stolid_agnostic,

In fairness, it’s not like you see it at the store all year round to remind you. Maybe get a couple boxes to have throughout the year? It’s certainly on sale right now, or at least will be at the end of December.

stolid_agnostic,

I ONE TIME bought a Camembert with the plan to bake it. I very seriously thought that something was rotting in my kitchen and actually cleaned out the fridge. When I discovered that it was the cheese, I put the whole thing into a sealed container and the kitchen STILL smelled rotten.

Don’t get me wrong, that baked Camembert was amazing. But not worth the smell lol.

stolid_agnostic,

Wow. Rhetoric is important. You have to convince people. Sometimes that’s doing it with them.

Google Researchers’ Attack Prompts ChatGPT to Reveal Its Training Data (www.404media.co)

ChatGPT is full of sensitive private information and spits out verbatim text from CNN, Goodreads, WordPress blogs, fandom wikis, Terms of Service agreements, Stack Overflow source code, Wikipedia pages, news blogs, random internet comments, and much more....

stolid_agnostic,

I think the point is that it doesn’t matter how you got it, you still have an ethical responsibility to protect PII/PHI.

I actually don’t think that they are particularly stupid. I think that most people can’t overcome the urge to have and keep for themselves. It’s all very much ape behavior and it pervades all the nasty that humans are capable of.

I’m not saying that people or better or worse. I just think that some let the internal animal out and others keep it in the cage. I do, however, believe that everyone should strive for that.

stolid_agnostic,

I feel that the Elon lovers go through similar when he says something that finally pierces the vail.

stolid_agnostic,

Sadly, I am a victim of this same thing. I quite Facebook because family members would bring their friends to attack me on my wall because I happened to post an article they didn’t like. It was constant and daily. I eventually gave up and really don’t ever see those people anymore.

stolid_agnostic,

My take is that this has revealed who amongst us is still ruled by their ape nature and who can notice that it’s weird to do that and try not to. Those who use only the monkey brain will fall into these traps every time. It really goes to show you just how primitive our species still is.

stolid_agnostic,

In my experience and observation, he works best on those who don’t have their own sense of identity because they just picked up whatever mantle was expected of them from society and moved on without a second thought. These people ultimately realize that they and their lives are meaningless and work to fill that void. Someone like Peterson can attempt to fill that empty spot, though ultimately it’ll fail.

Is there a place with the complete Doctor Who collection (Classic, Modern, AND spin-offs)?

Unfortunately the BBC has decided Australia doesn’t get to watch any Doctor Who that was released before 2005 or is a spin-off. So uh, anyone got a plex share or torrent with the lot? Immediate preference is getting the same versions as what is available on iPlayer in the UK, but would settle for DVD rips if that’s what’s...

stolid_agnostic,

Yeah. The one I did may not exist anymore but they are others. I think I just used a lot of web searches.

stolid_agnostic,

There are some comprehensive torrents that just have everything but it’ll take you ages to download it all. I managed to get the entire collection about ten years ago and just added new releases as they dropped.

Yeah pre-calc is pretty much remedial math nowadays. You don’t even get 100 level math until you’re at intermediate algebra!

Thinking of it in terms of statistics makes a lot of sense, I can see how this problem would help develop intuitions.

stolid_agnostic,

You were failed by people who didn’t help you learn intuitions and instead caused you to focus on memorization.

stolid_agnostic,

This is my first time seeing this problem. Interesting that they taught it in school.

And recently India too. There’s a hacking for hire scandal going on beyond just this incident. Worse: it was Indians hacking Indian journalists using Israeli spyware.
