To this day I use BTRFS on all my machines because of the superior snapshotting capabilities, and to this day I have never used it for rewinding to a snapshot, as basically live in fear of it

Ctrl-Alt-Cat is the worst

Fun. You can dick around with your init scripts without having to worry about the right triggers or spawn classes or anything. Your system is hackable with bash. Systemd: here are a list of approved keywords, don’t insert that there, why are using cron when you can use me?

Yep to the EFF, a few GNU projects, and previously to random developers I liked.

I think you’re being very generous, but we can agree to disagree

Wow that entire site is full of plagiarism

I guess my definitions were a bit loose, but isn’t it extremely in poor taste to emulate the exact formatting of the website? An unsuspecting user might genuinely believe they were at the original XKCD site.

Z-Library Blog: "Unprecedented seizure of our domains with books on rare languages" (z-library.se)

Today we are forced to share some sad news - yesterday many of our domains were seized again. We should highlight that the majority of the seized domains were not mirrors of the Z-Library website. Instead, they were separate sub-projects, containing only books in rare languages of the world, and their blocking is perplexing. For...

Oh wow, no joke. Let’s try this blocking feature then

I’m … I’m afraid to say. Let’s just say it was a bit of an embarrassing venture involving rubberbands.

doo-doo dododo, doo-doo dododo
Great Buddy Holly song cover.

But no, I’m talking about this series, called Palpito in Spanish:

There’s a great series on Netflix right now called “Heartbeat” or “Poisened Heart” or something (depends on language), and it’s a grizzly drama about murder, Organ harvesting, and a web of underworld seediness, revenge, wrath, high stakes drama etc…

It’s opening theme song is some weak ass “everybody needs good Neighhhbours” type thing that makes no sense whatsoever tonally to the show.

But, but… the contrast of the theme song to the show content is so large that it actually makes the show’s drama look good.

But think of the epic bathing you can accomplish. I’m talking FULL. BODY. SUBMERSION.

I guess you can always perfectly learn from your past mistakes. Though it means you use the power less and less as you learn/get better

One power I’ve always entertained is the ability to slow the passage of time linearly to the level of danger you’re in.

You can’t move much faster than the average human, and just because you can see something coming it doesn’t mean you can avoid it (though with time, your eyes will eventually train your muscles to reflex appropriately).

The ultimate killer ending of such a superhero would be an unwinnable situation (e.g. Comet coming to obliterate Earth) and all our hero will see is time slow down and down and down until the point where the catastrophe is about to occur, but (for them) never does.

Their rectangular eyes can also rotate so that they always have parallelism to the ground.

Can you imagine your eyes doing that?

Oh it’s a worm! I thought his/her mouth was splayed open Predator-style into a trigram.

Not a comment on the art, I love the art, but my mind does what it does

Shaka means “Joke” in Turkish, so I like to believe there are multiple meanings here
