You just described the difference between -5C and -15C without any difficulty at all.
After converting to Fahrenheit lol.
It’s what you’re used to.
That’s kind of my whole point. It’s what I’m used to, and you listing out the Celsius scale breakdown isn’t going to convince me to want to use Celsius for everyday uses. Of course I could get used to it, but it would take a wholesale, nationwide switch, just like it took the UK. Until then, telling me how much better Celsius is is just pissing into the wind, and honestly, a little underinformed.
By your logic, do you consider ground meat to be vegetarian? Animals aren’t slaughtered specifically for ground meat, it’s made of the extras, off-cuts, and all the bits that typically won’t get eaten, in a very similar vein as how gelatin is made.
IDK man, the more historical Renaissance fairs still exist, with people a bit more strict about dressing period-appropriately. The ones you’re talking about are basically a whole separate thing, it’s basically a fantasy-inspired comic-con, and attracts a whole different audience.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with either. I think it’s awesome that there’s places for people to sell their niche handmade goods while sporting the fashions of 17th-century France or whatever, as well as places where people can dress up like fantasy creatures, tails and all.
This resulted in many cases later of developers contacting me to ask me why some bizarre bit of code was in the app in the first place. I always referred them to my manager with an NMP (Not My Problem any more).
I hope this isn’t a real story. It would have taken you just as long to refer them to the commits with your comments still in, and run a git blame to show your manager took them out. Instead you just make yourself look unhelpful and incompetent.
Lots of terminal commands come with tab-completion out of the box (start typing a command, hit tab to autocomplete, hit tab twice to bring up a list of available options), or have tab completion scripts you can install after the fact.
Lacking tab completion, any worthwhile terminal commands will at least support a -h/–help flag that will print out a help menu summarizing the different options, or you can open up the man pages to see even more detailed documentation with man [whatever terminal command]. If the terminal command doesn’t have either of those, I’d recommend against using it.
Dude I’m stupid and didn’t really pay attention to the moon dust stuff, but it’s ok because that game is so good, they frame that scene so well and have the moon just visible over GladOS’s shoulder (so to speak), I still realized exactly what I needed to do. Probably one of my favorite “ah-ha” moments in gaming.
No? Why would you need to buy the same house again?
Also you’re getting mad at the exact evil that makes renting the only option for some - the shitty housing market. It just so happens that landlords exacerbate the shitty market by being economic parasites. It doesn’t matter how well intentioned you are as a landlord, the concept of renting is parasitic.
You’re still extracting wealth from the tenant, and the tenant is only losing money. You’re still preventing the tenant from building their wealth through property ownership.
The ethical thing to do in this situation would be to sell the house to the tenant at a price proportional to the rent, minus what they’ve already paid in rent to this point.
Yeah everyone in this thread probably being too literal, myself included lol.
Like, I’m not gonna get mad if someone makes a quick comment or quip during a movie. I’m not asking people to sit there in silence with absolutely no interaction while the movie plays. I’m just asking people to not try and start and maintain a conversation while the movie is playing, which I think is reasonable.
Bruh recipes take on average like a few minutes to read through. No one’s asking anyone to memorize anything, just read maybe two or three hundred words before starting to cook so you have an idea of what you’re doing
Do you know how Lemmy works? I can’t see comments from users on instances that are defederated from my home instance. My reply to your first comment in this thread is the only one I see. If there are other replies, they were made by users I’m defederated from.
You’re the only one talking about niche/specialty products though. Not denying that those products require extensive research, but I doubt that those products alone are responsible for the considerable markup on the typical alternative milk products, which truly are closer to “oats blended in water”, and probably make up a majority of sales.
