It’s not the problem but it’s part of the problem. Obviously the problem is giant corporations buying up tons and tons of homes, basically hoarding property, and renting them for near-mortgage prices. But that doesn’t change the fact that the concept of renting out property, renting out a home, is parasitic.

Also you’re getting mad at the exact evil that makes renting the only option for some - the shitty housing market. It just so happens that landlords exacerbate the shitty market by being economic parasites. It doesn’t matter how well intentioned you are as a landlord, the concept of renting is parasitic.

You should be spending 1% of your homes value on maintenance each year, which many people don’t/can’t budget for.

This is more a problem with the housing market, not the people trying to purchase property. Houses are just too expensive in the current market, but renting doesn’t change that - it just means the money that would be going to your own mortgage goes to someone else’s, plus a little extra for the trouble.

You’re still extracting wealth from the tenant, and the tenant is only losing money. You’re still preventing the tenant from building their wealth through property ownership.

The ethical thing to do in this situation would be to sell the house to the tenant at a price proportional to the rent, minus what they’ve already paid in rent to this point.

Like, I’m not gonna get mad if someone makes a quick comment or quip during a movie. I’m not asking people to sit there in silence with absolutely no interaction while the movie plays. I’m just asking people to not try and start and maintain a conversation while the movie is playing, which I think is reasonable.

Bruh recipes take on average like a few minutes to read through. No one’s asking anyone to memorize anything, just read maybe two or three hundred words before starting to cook so you have an idea of what you’re doing

Fahrenheit is actually a base-ten system, where 0° was the freezing temperature of a salt/water mixture used in laboratories in the 18th century, and 100° was supposed to be a human’s blood temperature. Another convenient perk of the fahrenheit system is that most European weather occurs inside it’s 0-100 range.

Eventually Fahrenheit saw the scientific need to know the freezing and boiling point of plain water, but instead of adjusting his system, he just found those values within his system.

Dude I’m stupid and didn’t really pay attention to the moon dust stuff, but it’s ok because that game is so good, they frame that scene so well and have the moon just visible over GladOS’s shoulder (so to speak), I still realized exactly what I needed to do. Probably one of my favorite “ah-ha” moments in gaming.
