By commercialism, I’m aiming at a mix of spending a lot and sifting through bloated business models (e.g. this or that accessory/equipment, microtransactions, etc.). Feel like many can relate to this sort of commercial fatigue, and yet it creeps even into hobbies where one tries to unwind....

The Matrix is an often used example, but for me it’s the Alien Prequels - especially Alien: Covenant really makes the Original Alien much worse. For starters, you can add weather stripping to outside-facing doors and windows. If your landlord doesn’t want to pay for it, then it can be found cheaply on aliexpress. Also, add insulation outside-facing switch covers and outlet plates.

I think my favorite thing about Lemmy is that it feels like Reddit used to. Less negativity, more engaged users (I think). I’ll start off by saying that he has a bad past life. He was obviously abused by his previous owners and straight up abandoned in the woods. He has bad anxiety that he is on Prozac for, and it seems to be helping for the most part....

I think that installation was originally 18.04 and I installed it when it was released. A while ago anyways and I’ve been upgrading it as new versions roll out and with the latest upgrade and snapd software it has become more and more annoying to keep the operating system happy and out of my way so I can do whatever I need to...

I love horror movies especially the cheesey type of horror movies that are so stupid that they are great. I do prefer the ones that would always appear on SyFy, but any other type (that is not like the ones on SyFy and look a lot better) is fine too.
