The story goes that Chief Engineer Argyle’s actor Biff Yeager was eager for a full time role on the show. It had been hinted at that he could become part of the main cast if fan response was positive. Yeager was apparently a bit too zealous asking friends and family to write in to the studio. They received a wave of support for the character before an episode featuring Argyle had ever aired, and his role was subsequently quietly written off of the show.
Ikr? It’s a daily joy to get one awesome post after the other. There were days, where i thought “ok, this is the peak, it can’t get better than this” only to be proven wrong the next day. Again and again.
Prolly cuz everyone on Earth got tired of their BS…like when they had to flee the US to Mexico. Hell, even one of Abe Lincolns campaign posters promised to eliminate the “twin relics of Barbarism” - slavery and polygamy.
This one that I found cuts off just about where the photo does (around his knees), so I tried to pick which guy to replace that would look the most natural.
After editing stuff like this lately, I’m going to be constantly noticing when shows I watch do full-body shots against a not too busy background. It’s harder to find than you’d think!
