Everything felt wondrous to me after I got out of an abusive marriage bruised but alive. It’s not that I feel more, but the realization that I am able to feel at all amplifies the intensity of my positive feelings. Do you feel like you’re trapped in a rut at all? Or maybe you’ve convinced yourself that all the best moments have already past? Sending positive vibes to you!
I use bitwarden but it can be quite annoying to use sometimes. Feel like I have to type my master password every 5 minutes and it won’t even prompt me to enter it for a site I have a login on, have to dig into the menu and find it
On my desktop browser I have it set to relock only when I close the browser. So I only have to enter my master password the first time.
I have an Android phone and an iPhone and have bitwarden enabled on both and set to auto lock after 15 minutes. Very rarely do I run into and instance where bitwarden won’t be able to auto populate everything on either device and I have biometrics set up to unlock my vault. When it doesn’t I have to go searching but imo it’s a minor inconvenience because it very rarely happens.
If you mean that when you are using the auto entry feature your account isn’t showing up to populate the field without searching then you need to save the URI to the password so that bitwarden knows what account goes with that site. Just hit the auto fill and save button and it will automatically add that URI for you so you don’t have to search next time.
I’ve got all that setup and biometrics work great. The problem is sometimes bitwarden just won’t prompt in the first place, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes I have to wait a bit for it to realise
Ah yeah, I run into that sometimes but in my experience its pretty rare that it won’t pop up. Sometimes just closing the app, from recent apps, and reopening will get it to trigger. I always assumed it had something to do with the apps save state when I closed it since it generally happens on my banking apps that automatically log me out. It’s one thing I like about iOS is that when you are logging into something there is the little key button to open up iCloud keychain and Bitwarden so you don’t have to let it do it automatically.
A few apps I needed didn’t work on Linux without a hassle and a lot of games I play with friends only run on Windows. I also found a lot of things were kind of a hassle on Linux, especially screen scaling. Fractional screen scaling straight up barely works and everything on my laptop screen was usually tiny.
I would totally go back when the experience is a bit nicer, I’m pretty frustrated with Windows. I think the Linux desktop experience isn’t totally ready imo.
I’m getting ready to umpire a ballgame when I’m like 20. Come out of the room five minutes before game time, and both teams have gone sprinting to the dugouts because this massive swarm of wasps (bees? Maybe bees… it was over 20 years ago) came buzzing right over the field the game was supposed to be on. Heading southeast. Partner and I nope back into the room for a while.
Anyways. The insects continue on doing whatever wasp- (or bee-) like activities they were doing and we play the game.
Game goes well. I get changed and go home. Home is somewhere between 5-10 km southeast of the ballpark.
As I park and get out I notice that the family is freaking out. Swarm of wasps (or bees) had just buzzed their way over from the northwest and taken up residence in one of the walls of our carport.
Sounds to my uneducated ears like bees hiving. IIRC a bunch of individual bees go out and find potential spots for a new hive, then come back and communicate with the hive details like where it is and what it’s like. Then the hive picks one of the spots and all of them who are going to go to the new hive go.
That’s exactly what it was. But the sheer odds of them settling on my house the same day as I worked a game a fair distance away at a park that happened to be in their path to their new home? Pretty fucking high.
Power Metal:
Powerwolf
Gloryhammer
Alestorm
Sabaton
Windrose
Pagan music:
Emerald Rose
Tyr
And then sea shanties, folk music, Irish (rebel and otherwise), labor/protest music, and the occasional bouts of pure randomness.
Right now I cannot get enough of Miracle of Sound. Dude just checks every box there is for me. It's like if every other kind of music I listen to got gene-spliced into one guy.
In no particular order other stuff:
Blackmore's Night
Clamavi de Profundis
Omnia
Faun
The band fired Thomas Winkler (lead singer) aka Angus. No reason was given but his poor live performance after the pandemic was rumored.
Then some old chat was leaked that put to light that James (bassist aka hootsman) and Chris (song writer / former keyboardist aka Zargotrax) were racist/mysoginic trying to take advantage of their status to fuck fans.
Then some allegation of abuse against James were made.
At the end of it all Christ wrote a PR excuse letter. Gloryhammer got a new lead singer (Sozos Michael). Thomas went on his way to make a new band (Angus McSix).
So we got two album this year with gloryhammer style.
Just be careful there is two song order. The one of the track listing (the bad one) and the lore one (the good one).
For whatever reason they decided not to put the song in the lore order so the story makes no sense if you listen to the album in the track listening order.
I have the exact same list for power metal lol, only thing I’d add is twilight force.
I also like chiptune stuff, a great artist that kinda crosses over chiptune and metal is rainbowdragoneyes, he has done remixes of gloryhammer and alestorm, and has a whole EP of remixed and OC pirate metal chiptune.
A bit crass maybe but it’s always stuck with me. Basically a way of thinking in bad situations that need action eg if you’ve shat yourself, no amount of wishing you hadn’t is going to change the fact that you’ve shat yourself, so what are you going to actually do about it?
Hopefully it’s metaphorical but works on both counts.
There’s a lot to take from Bojack, but I’m not sure I could pin down one sentiment to wrap up the whole show. Frequently, it’s just a good comedy. At other times, the show is an exploration of depression and self-destruction, and I think that’s what makes it resonate with so many people.
For what it’s worth, the first season is generally the worst in the show by a fair margin. It has a few high points, but I think most fans appreciate that the show demands more commitment than many are willing to devote. It wasn’t until into the second season that things started to really hit the highs that made the show stick with people.
