I would imagine there is a contingency plan for if the surgeon becomes incapacitated, eg has an aneurysm/heart attack, so they’d probably do whatever that is
Probably something like palliative care until an on call surgeon can come in and finish out whatever was going on
There would be some other doctor in the hospital that would sew you back up, that surgeon would go to jail for a while, you’d be on the news, win massive lawsuit.
I’m an old lady and I’m trying, it’s a little hard to navigate though, so I would say I spend less time here than I did Reddit, but I am 10 days fully clean from Reddit after a month of weaning. I’ve also started getting up and moving around more throughout my work day and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
As much as I want to move on to the fediverse, there are occasions where Reddit is better, such as finding specific questions that were answered; it’s like the stack overflow for general life. Now I just browse the cached version if I need to search for something like that.
So it sounds like you think your home is sealed already. I assume they’re just coming in when you do? You could spray near the doors maybe. Insecticide probably isn’t good for you but it’s worth considering living in a cloud of DEET if you’re that desperate.

I just use both. Lemmy for general browsing and Reddit when I want a more specific community that isn’t around yet.
I was never a 3rd party app user really as I just use old.reddit through the browser on my phone so until old.reddit is killed off I’ll probably continue to use both. Once thats gone though I won’t be using Reddit, new UI is truly awful
