Honestly I've been wondering why AI porn is so... predictably unusual? Like I would have imagined having AI means we'll have absurd pterodactyl porn, but instead it's just nude photography but AI
Between the removal of nsfw from r/all and my browsing Lemmy there seems to have been quite the explosion in AI generated nudity. One of the things I liked about the r/all nsfw was the “discovery” as I might flip through the days latest news. I say that because the images I’ve seen are whatever you horny bastards upvote enough to make a Top list. The AI images look like bad Instagram filters - or maybe filters that are just too good. It’s almost past the uncanny valley, but not quite. As for the skin tone and ethnicity I just assume that’s the bulk of the user base self-selecting.
I will say that my teenage self would have been salivating at these. The older me finds most of them, if not disturbing/offputting for appearing so young, a bit too perfect for my taste. To drop a quote: “the sadder but wiser girl’s the girl for me” these days.
Check out a Calckey instance (I think it's a significantly better UX compared to Mastodon, and they federate) and their PWA. It's pretty good. But there's a list of native apps for it here: https://calckey.org/apps/
Steak and eggs, it’s what astronauts use to not shit for days. your body absorbs most of the material rather than excreting it. your looking for anything “low residue”.
I’ve been finding Reddit quite toxic lately, I also find it annoying how much less engaged people are in the actual articles posted and more interested in getting a laugh going off topic.
Look at this beautiful spectacle of nature! You wouldn't know it to see how much time it spends laying in bed, but it's capable of playing Minecraft for 20 hours straight.
We're supposed to be getting a rail trail soon. Train line hasn't been used for more than 30 years. New England, NSW.
The train folk aren't happy about it, but I can't see the government spending billions to open a badly decayed line when one already exists two hours away along the coast, and they're already building another one on the plains not too far away.
By crikey, I’ve been tracking this one all day following its ridiculous chewing sounds. Now I’ve barely grounded the blighter and it’s snoring like all get out! I think we best likely leave this one alone, it’s starting to drool.
I like Tusky. It just works, but it also has a nice feature that lets you open posts from whichever accounts you have set up with a couple of taps. In the official app you have to switch accounts and then find the post again, which is a pain. I have two Mastodon accounts so this feature is convenient to me.
I think those who are not satisfied with the direction Reddit is going are already here and found a new home. Maybe some will come here after the thrid-party-apps cease to work (if they aren't here already).
The vast majority (the "bulk of Reddit") doesn't bother. As long as they can use Reddit the way they use to they will not leave. It possibly has to do with the fact that these users are not tech-savvy enough in general. I don't mean it in a negative way. They just don't care because they just focus on other things. And with this in mind these users probably checked out Lemmy already but because the buttons are green and their favorite subreddit is not here yet, it is not appealing to them. So they rather stay on reddit.
Uninstalled the app, blackholed the domain in my Pi-hole servers, and removed the domain from my web search results on my SearxNG server. I use Wireguard from my phone when out and about, so I’m always usnig Pi-hole and SearxNG.
