No one product, but more of a collection of technologies underlying the Apple ecosystem. For example, AirDrop or Continuity (drafting something on one device and continuing/finishing on another).
Universal Control is pretty magical. I love having both my work and personal laptops connected to an ultrawide monitor and using my mouse/keyboard (actually Magic Trackpad, Magic Keyboard) across the two.
When I’m waiting for something for work I can slide the cursor over and do something on my personal computer.
My only paranoia is that the work laptop can track what I’m typing but that’s why I use the peripherals connected to the personal laptop to control everything.
Continuum. I have more than 10 thousand hours on my main account, 3 thousand more on alts I do not have access anymore. Most of the time was afk or just being online since it had a chat and very lightweight. You can see top players by usage time on the trenchwars server website.
Like if you downvote everything you don’t upvote, it almost doesn’t have an effect because all those things are equally bearing one new downvote and hence don’t change sort precedence with each other.
For a brief moment in time search engines were perfected. Then they veered off course. All of them did. Why though.
Remember when you could list vaguely some words related an obscure movie to Google. Then it would tell you the movie you’re thinking of. That’s been nerfed.
Tangentially related. What’s the deal with search engines of online stores. It’s like they aren’t even search engines at all. They’re doing nothing more than showing me products/sellers they want me to buy from. Digikey lets you drill down to precise specification filters. I wish all search engines could be like that.
Actually the vague movie description thing was due to imdb’s movie tags that users had set on the movie and search engine was doing the simples things it could i.e. “all this one word links point to this movie, perhaps it is this?”
My Switch because it runs retroarch and allows me to either dock it to my TV, third monitor, or play it on the go. Maybe if I got a steamdeck that would be my favorite, but I will have to wait a few more years until they’re cheap enough for me to afford.
