Zak8022, in What app do you use for Mastodon?
@Zak8022@kbin.social avatar

I’ve been an Ivory Stan for a while, lol. But ngl, I’m starting to get itchy since updates have slowed significantly. Other apps have gotten lots of other QOL features, or he’ll even some basic features, in a much quicker time. But I’ve paid for Ivory already, and don’t really want to pay for another.

My options are more limited too cuz it’s a requirement for there to be some sync to a desktop app. Not too many others that do that (Mona is the first that comes to mind that is in “second” place for me).

TheRealCharlesEames,

Came here to say the exact same thing

fastandcurious, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

Stamp that i was here. Truly an outstanding post

ogg42, in What do you use for a domain registrar?

AWS all the way for DNS and registration.

Nomecks,

Same. I use AWS since I'm using AWS for everything else, and I can easily script it all to work together.

I like Tusky, but the web interface is pretty good on mobile too!

JASN_DE, in What app do you use for Mastodon?

Tusky works well for me on Android.

TechProfessor, in What app do you use for Mastodon?

I find Moshidon and Fedilab to be the best on android and Mona and Trunks app on ios. On Linux I use Tuba and on Web I like multi column layout of Mastodeck.

m3enzo,

I’ve been using Mona on iOS for a while now and I feel it’s the most feature filled app. It’s been great! Mona is also available for Mac!

TechProfessor,

Yes. The customisation possibilities of Mona are incredible. It’s my daily driver. I love the columned layout of Trunks app on iPad though.

Spzi, in "Connect" for Lemmy app - anyone tried it yet?

It’s the first and only lemmy app working on my old 2015 android phone.

Great to have backwards compatible options. I also like it :)

Mammoth for iOS. I prefer it over Ivory which is crazy since I loved Tweetbot.

Can’t wait to see, “New Social Platform Taking off from no Poop Post” as headlines of main streaming media sites. Thank you

Adderbox76, in has anyone tried out lemmynade as a lemmy app?

just keeps spinning when trying to add a Lemmy.ca instance and account.

are you using the newer version? maybe that one will work, but I don’t know for sure

chon, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

Mysterious post indeed. Yet, it’s the asking of such an intimate, specific question in the most open of spaces what I find truly fascinating 😶

my go-to for anything they support is porkbun: they’re cheap, reliable, and technically competent

for backup for domains they don’t cover, 101domain has a huge selection

for actual DNS hosting, i use cloudflare (migrating from dnsimple) but also wouldn’t be against route53

Maximilious,

I've been using namecheap for years and redirect DNS through cloudflare. I think my yearly renewal is around $25. I've been thinking of transferring to cloudflare, but their pricing model is really expensive for their other products and don't really want to feel pigeonholed if my price gets inflated above what I already pay.

Tusky is my current preference, but have tried Megalodon, Mastodon and Fedilab. I couldn't get with Fedilab, the font sizes in particular were never right.
