I’d like to see a world in which the manufacturer of a product is responsible for its entire life cycle. So many problems we have today stem from our disposable culture. If say you package your product in plastic, that plastic should eventually come back to you for reuse/recycling, or at least you should foot the bill for processing it. Everything is barcoded these days, so it shouldn’t be impossible to sort it by manufacturer. Could be a killer app for AI?
In my experience, old age only amplifies person’s traits - if you were nice, you are going to be extra nice because of all the stress leaving your day to day. If you were a cunt, you are going to be extra cunty because now you will be blaming people left and right for all the errors in your life. That’s my experience though.
I use it as anti-seize for RF connectors. It allows cables to connect to antennas without getting stuck, even if left like that for years in maritime environments.
EDIT: Just make sure the vasseline is neutral and not (even slightly) acidic. Otherwise it’ll cause corrosion.
Some get better, some get worse. You really can’t generalize this. A friend of mine used to say that “we have to ditch the wise elder, because some people accumulate stupidity with age instead of wisdom”
For years now I've responded to anybody saying we should "respect our elders" by saying "they just don't make elders like they used to."
It was easy to be old and wise when the world only changed on a scale of centuries. Now it's easy to see large cultural changes every decade or less; the wisdom of somebody who came of age in the 1950s is of no value today if they've learned nothing else since.
The year was 2010, and I was living abroad at the time. I was visiting the old country for a few days to renew my passport, and the day before I was supposed to fly back to where I lived, two things happened:
Ran into this FWB i knew before moving abroad.
Eyjafjallajökull had a volcanic eruption, shutting down air traffic in all of northern Europe.
Long story short, my FWB and I reconnected in the extra time I was given, and things developed further than they ever had before. Today we have a house and four kids together. I think it’s getting serious.

You can’t be too sure about that. They could just be being nice. Maybe they are like that with everyone. Better play it safe and burn the house down to see how they really feel.
It’s usually kind of a U with the top sections being comprised of very young and very old people with the kind of limited intelligence and suicidal bravery to not believe that their actions have consequences, and then generally mellowed out, moderately reasonable, people in the middle. YMMV though.
Totally ideal? Green energy robots automate all the stuff humans need (food, water, shelter, sanitation, etc.) so that no one has to work and people can do whatever they want!
