Zero. Maybe it’s the OCD, but I never ever leave open a tab I’m not actively using, even if it means I open and close the same few tabs every five minutes for 8 hours every day.
Like that ever stops anyone. Georgia is a hands-free state (not really because people eat, do makeup, and whatever else), but I always see people on their phones while they drive.
I was hungry once and ordered a lot of stuff from one place at lieferando. I was really looking forward to it and was in a good mood, so I pre tipped through their app. They cancelled my order but kept the tip.
You won’t get a bad service if you don’t tip and in my student time I rarely tipped, but never had a bad experience with this. Now that I have the money, I usually have a batch of 5€ and 10€ banknotes with me, specifically for tips. I try to tip around 10% and the people usually are really grateful.
Do custom without shame! They are bullying you. These card readers with tip suggestions are getting annoyingly coming here too. One time in Berlin I went to a donut stand and the suggested tips started at 10%. I gave them 1 star on Google maps and complained. They replied that that’s just how the machine works. I know perfectly well that’s customizable…
That’s completely normal; the sensations are caused by some energy you’ve stored inside of you being re-activated. If you can follow those sensations to the root, the thorn, and then gradually work at that thorn, you can do some serious mental cleansing. If you’re able to remove all of the thorns, you will experience this zen-like peace for anything and everything that comes your direction.
This Michael Singer guy did a whole bunch of that kind of introspection, figured it all out, then wrote three different books on the process.
Only time I open more is when I am downloading a big thing split into multiple files and I can only download a couple at a time due to the file host’s BS.
None. I’m not rich, I don’t have the luxury of straight-out boycotting any particular company. If I could, both Amazon and Walmart would be top of the list. And I’m sure many others.
Hell, I’ve been wanting to finally delete my Facebook account for years now, but Facebook marketplace is apparently the ONLY place I’m ever going to be able to sell anything. It’s the only reason I still have the account. I have long since delete all posts, photos, and literally any other data that they would let me delete, aside from marketplace posts and associated messenger conversations. Used to buy and sell constantly on Craigslist for many years, now I haven’t been able to successfully sell a single item in at least the last 2-3 years. Letgo was a decent one for a while, until the app got bought by, and then shut down by, OfferUp. And the OfferUp people are basically con artists (use shady methods of boosting the number of “active” listings, in order to artificially inflate the value of their company). It has been nearly impossible to sell, or even BUY anything on OfferUp, after several years of trying to make user of the app.
Oh yeah, absolutely. (I knew I was making the words ‘good advice’ carry a lot of weight there, but it’s late here.)
For example, Bill’s got a health problem, but persists in consuming something that’s bad for that. Jill quietly/quickly reminds him of that now and then.
I work in an office job and the introduction of an always on display completely solved this need fir me. AoDs have since become ha hard requirement for me, while my wrist can continue to proudly wear an old school analog watch.
Oh, and also, I hate the thought of tech giants even going as far as collection my bio data for whatever abuse they plan to do with it. Can’t collect a lot when my phone is on the table not even facing me.
