WidowsFavoriteSon, in What's the name of the belief that gods/entities are quasi-semtient memes (the linguistic term, not the cultural term) in the same manner that corporations and governments are considered people?

Carl Jung proposed that gods are characters of individuation drawn from our collective unconscious, just as demons are unconfronted shadows of self. “Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious,” by C.G. Jung.

cheese_greater,

So like idealized forms sort of? Like that which we could be be aren’t?

athos77, in How do you work full-time and stay awake all shift?

When I was working three jobs, I'd go take a nap in my car instead of eating lunch; a thirty-minute nap kept me going for the rest of my shift. I'd have a granola bar for lunch while walking to/from the car.

Harpsist, in Low effort posts

Oh. To be fair, the ‘stick’ thing has been a running meme for a couple weeks now in some subs.

I… Apologize for my part in the stick fiasco. My 8 year old REALLY wanted me to post about it a few weeks ago.

Might’ve been in reddit. I honestly don’t notice the difference until I go try to use any of the short cuts that spez refused to implement in his shit app

This applies the when I was working in an office. I’m wfh because of an injury, but will be returning part time next month.

I take my second dose of ADHD medication at 11:30. Right when I start my lunch. I try not to include too many carbs in my lunch because that will make me sleepy.

I also make sure to take the long way back to my desk after using the bathroom to get my blood pumping.

I also drink absurd amounts of coffee and listen to energetic music.

When I am working from home I take a nap during my lunch lol.

meco03211, in Do InvisibleFence brand controller units work with non-IF collars?

Can you buy another brand and do a quick test yourself? Then just return if it doesn’t. I imagine it’s just emitting some emf and any receiver can pick up signals. Depending on how sensitive stuff is, it might need to be tuned to certain frequencies.

PoppyJalopy, in What game do you play to just chill?

Recently got back into my childhood favorite, Simcity 2000.

It’s just a classic for me. Amazing city builder with a chill soundtrack. Super rewarding planning out your city and watching it develop across the map. And it’s super stress free if you just play with disasters off

HallowellNash, in How would you rate my stick?

8 of 10 but I could be persuaded to go up to 9

I’ve gotten really into Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for unwinding after a long day. Something about the low poly graphics while I can just be a menace in the game feels right.

Cmar,

Played it on my switch a few months ago after many years, still holds up beautifully. The radio stations are spot on and, just like you said, the low poly graphics (even on the DE) are so easy on the eyes.

Rhynoplaz, in How do you work full-time and stay awake all shift?

Have you tried sleeping at night?

Did you not read the fist sentence of their post or are you just an insensitive ass?

Age of Empires 2 custom games. Can’t beat a classic, and you can save whenever you’re done

Immersive_Matthew, in What game do you play to just chill?

I am biased as I am the Imagineer of my title, but I get a lot of comments that it is a great place to just chill, even with a loved one or good friend. It is a VR Theme Park focused on highly detailed, story driven dark rides like the ones you find at Disney. The first ride is out and it sent me to the top of charts on the Meta Quest App Lab Store. Even if you do not have VR yet, that is fine as I am not done developing yet as I have years of work ahead of me, but if/when you do, come check it out. It really does feels like you are in a Theme Park on a nice sunny day, walking around the grounds, exploring the ride queues and of course boarding the dark rides…well one dark ride, but the second one is coming along nice,”The Haunted Castle” and I will be updating the store with a tease soon.

philpo,

…that is not even good advertising…

Immersive_Matthew,

Ahahaha I know right. Marketing is just not my thing, but Imagineering is thankfully. Sounds like it is not your thing too as my posts usually appeal to the Disney fans…especially EPCOT which I did not even mention which is odd as that is one of the park’s Inspirations. See…I suck at this.

Metatronz, in What game do you play to just chill?

Cities Skylines 2 has been great for this. Just log in and tinker with your city! Very relaxing creative problem solving…

sag, in How would you rate my stick?

Straight. Slick. Can become a sword. 10/10
