The reason I’m asking is I’m trying to be more aware of supporting that type of stuff online. I don’t want to give money to any companies that put features behind behind ads or subscriptions. The end result will always be squeezing the consumer. So I’d like to avoid it if possible
Ideally for me I’d like to have a one time payment or free with donation option. But subscriptions, even with free tier just contributes to the shit net
Not all subscriptions are bad though. Some features genuinely have a cost behind them. Inoreader has a feature that lets me create feeds for websites that don’t have an rss feed. To me, that’s worth the price.
Part of it would depend on whether or not it has, as required of all self propelled ships above a low threshold GRT, an AIS transceiver. If it’s got one, and it’s on, I can find the ship in seconds (access to multiple large terrestrial and satellite AIS systems at work).
But I guess if they never intend to go anywhere near Port State Control, they could just turn their AIS off. People do it all the time to violate sanctions, avoid pirates, etc.
Ok that’s a lot of info I wasn’t aware of. Thanks!!
So this ship doesn’t want to go to port so to remain as hidden as possible. I’m imagining smaller vessels would deliver supplies to the ship along its route. So any laws won’t be really an issue if no countries know about the ship.
Sounds like you’ve never trained. If you want to try kickboxing or Muay Thai you’re not going to be starting out sparring. You’ll be learning the basics. That is, of course unless you’re at some dodgy ass gym that pushes everyone to spar right out of the gate. In which case you should avoid and go to a proper gym. If you’re getting many hard hits to the head in training starting out you’re doing it wrong or your partner is an asshole. Just do it. I trained with other people in IT, I remember one guy was a C++ programmer. Stop over thinking it and go for it.
My girlfriend and a friend of hers went to a kickboxing lesson once and they had the student kick each other inner thigh all day. She was completely bruised up for the next week.
Getting a good gym for this is a process I guess and you shouldn’t expect to stay with your first one
That shit ain’t right! It’s sad that those wannabe gyms exist and it puts off people who would likely otherwise have a good, albeit still tough time (with some conditioning).
Crazy that no one has recommended Costco’s in-house Bourbon. It’s very hard to get unless you know when it’s in stock, because it sells out in like a week, but at some places (DC for example) you don’t even need a membership to buy liquor. It’s a REALLY good Bourbon for the price. It’s a little stronger and sweeter than many bourbons in my estimation, without much bite.
My buddy is a huge Bourbon snob, we did the trail for his bachelor party, and he had a few bourbon bars set up at his wedding. It was one of the five he chose to have at his wedding, and the decision was not made on cost. He’s the one that introduced me to it, and it’s basically all I buy now, unless I’m getting something cheap for bourbon and gingers or some other mixed drink.
Back when I was a drinker (7 years sober now) my drink of choice was whiskey in general, bourbon in particular.
That said, the best whiskey I ever had was a bottle of Yamazaki 12 year single malt. I got it as a gift when they just entered the US market and picked up a second bottle for ~$45 at the time. Highly recommended to any whiskey drinker.
Have you thought about giving him a rye whisky? It is still a very American style of whisky. It might be a neat treat to have something just a little different.
No, it isn’t crossfade. It adds random music to your Playlist. I found this fix on Reddit the other day and it made a big difference, I’m now hearing songs on my liked song Playlist that I’ve not heard in a long time.
Automix is only enabled on a few playlists, and not Liked songs.
If you’ve ever listened to a dance album where one song merges seamlessly into the next, automix does that. When you hear a playlist using automix it is very noticeable.
“Miracle Workers” hasn’t been mentioned yet, it has a similar vibe, romantic comedy, some mild philosophy, very upbeat. Each season is a different storyline with (almost) the same cast, so if the first season doesn’t grab you try the next. The creator had an earlier show “Man Seeking Woman” as well, that’s fun too.
