Timberland boots also last. Docs have gone down in quality
I doubt it matters much, but I’ve had the same cloak from Cloak and Dagger for close to a decade now. The only issue was that the clasp detached, but it was an easy fix.
I have Feedly app and a bunch of RSS feeds about tech, world news, board games, video games, robotics, space, and pop culture. It’s great! Sure I get a few duplicate articles from multiple sites covering the same thing but it’s nice little digital newspaper. And if one site keeps publishing stupid shit I can unsubscribe from it and it’s gone from my feed.
A bit off the rails, since it’s not a particular brand. But anything leather (wallets, belts, pouches, etc). I’ve had my leather wallet for nearly 7 years, maybe more. I haven’t really taken care of it (though I should). It’s been through a lot, and it has held up so well. Leather also ages very well. Whether it’s scuffed or dented, it’ll still look good with added character. As long as you don’t lose it or cut it (and craftsmanship is good), you’ll probably have it for a very long time.
While this is definitely true, it’s important to get quality leather goods in order to have them last. For instance, “genuine leather” is actually the worst grade of leather, and can flake and fall apart in a few years.
I just bought a Schott NYC bison hide jacket that I’m hoping lasts me for the rest of my life, and I bought a saddleback leather wallet (which comes with a 100 year warranty on it) around three years ago and it still looks great: saddlebackleather.com
Quality leather jackets are a bit hard to find. Lambskin leather is light and easier to wear (and is what most people purchase), but (especially if it’s a highly-processed lambskin) may only last a few years before starting to fall apart.
EDIT: For purses, there is a guy who was making the rounds in the national media due to going viral for cutting up luxury purses to see what the quality is of them (he goes by “Tanner Leatherstein”) and he evaluates the quality of purses. I bought my wife a Dooney & Bourke purse at www.dooney.com that has lasted longer than a lot of the cheaper crap she’s used and it still looks very good at 5 years old. “Tanner Leatherstein” says that Coach bags are generally pretty decent quality, and also runs his own shop here which I cannot personally attest to but may buy a gift from for my wife: www.pegai.com
“genuine leather” is actually the worst grade of leather,
I really wish those shenanigans were illegal, where they use words that are normally positive adjectives to mean low tier garbage.
Or even just adjectives at all; like the USDA has multiple grades for beef, two of which are Choice and Select. Those are fucking synonyms you dusty dry twats!
The USPS is similarly convoluted. “First-Class mail.” That’s for the normal “it goes in the normal bag with the rest of the letters” service, but the phrase “First Class” usually means top tier service.
ICJ case against Israel is I think a way for countries whose voices are being vetoed to be heard.
Russia is being called out for genocide all over the world. There is a warrant out for putin’s arrest for that crime.
China is also being panned the same way.
Israel meanwhile is drowning the cries of genocide by calling any mention of it as Anti Semitic speech.
West in my opinion should grow out of their shame about what they did to Jewish people. And start calling out them for the horrors Jewish people are doing.

Mild disagree. What needs to happen is that the shame has to be about what was done instead of who it was done too.
If you really want to detox, then put the phone down. Order some magazines, read some books, talk to some people. I did that for 6 months when I was completely overwhelmed and my entire psyche changed. But I eventually craved the interaction, so here I am.
Lots of people and countriesare claiming Russia is committing genocide and are investigating that possibility.
Several nations and legal institutions have also classed China’s actions against the Uyghur as genocidal.
However, as far as I’m aware neither Russia or China are signed up to the ICC so there’s not much point in using that body to penalise them.
Israel is though and your claim there’s no proof is literally true (in the sense you used the word ‘proof’) but there is plenty of evidence that Israel certainly has genocide very much in the forefront of their minds when members of the Israeli government suggest nuking Gaza, or creating ‘no go’ areas for Palestinians in recognised Palestinian areas that just so happen to be where Palestinian farmers grow and harvest food. Israeli historian of the Holocaust Omer Bartov warned that statements made by top Israeli officials “could easily be construed as indicating a genocidal intent.”
Follow this simple rule for clarity, replace the names and ethnic background of the parties in question with A and B, acknowledge that A and B have historical conflict and are distinct ethnic groups but set aside their cultural characteristics and specifics. Now take the actions of A towards B and compare them to historical examples. Under jurisprudence there can be no a priori exoneration of any group due to historical factors, actors must be judged solely on their actions.
The ICC follows "The definition contained in Article II of the Convention describes genocide as a crime committed with the intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, in whole or in part. It does not include political groups or so called “cultural genocide”." And Israel is walking a fine line at the moment by claiming that they are exterminating a political group "Hamas" but their actions towards the civilian population will determine their guilt or innocence in the eyes of history and the international community. The ICC's job is to collect all the facts that we civilians can not, and make a determination based on those facts. If you believe Israel is innocent, you should not worry as the facts will clearly exonerate them and so will history be written.
Being victims of genocide does not mean it is impossible to commit genocide
Israel is an ICC signatory, and is obligated to follow its rulings
The PM, Defense Sec and Knesset are all of the policy makers for military policy
This is just “all Palestinians are hamas”. Straight up racist shit.
Israel totally controls and only allows minute amounts of all of these resources through, of which multiple international aid organisations have stated it’s vastly insufficient
Genocide is not self defense. The Palestinian people have a right to exist as well.
Bonus point: multiple genocides can exist at once, the fact that others are being committed does not change the events within Gaza
It literally isn’t. Any government, including the Israeli government, is capable of being genocidal.
That who engage with whom?
If you don’t think the opinions of government ministers up to and including the PM have any weight on current or future policy, then I admire your ability to ignore reality.
Can you provide verified, independent proof that that is true?
You’re right. Why would any country want to make/farm/produce their own food? They should just shut up and be grateful, right?
No argument there. Sadly, the IDF, on the orders of the Israeli government, seem either unable or unwilling to differentiate between Hamas and Palestinians.
I have Hulu/Disney bundle, Netflix, and Prime. I canceled Prime after the commercials announcement but I still have a few months remaining. I will miss it but I won’t tolerate commercials in a service I’m paying for.
Next to go will be Netflix after their latest price increase, I will subscribe for a month when I want to watch something on there badly enough.
I just canceled Sirius XM as well, I liked it but need to cut some costs. I figured they would offer me some free months but haven’t yet. They did offer $5 per month which should be $60 but is more like $75 after all the taxes and fees. Tired of playing that game so I refused this time.
And I have adblocked YouTube on my TV, phone, and PC.
Only Spotify due to convenience and tolerance that they are an European company and not a US one. I’m considering some other like Mubi, Curiosity Steam or Nebula, but none offer languages other than English. Which is a major hurdle to enjoy content with all the family. Thus far, my self-hosted server is way better, but some things we want to watch are particularly obscure and hard to find.
