What country?

Meltrax, in Is there a way to have default and permanent private listening mode in Spotify?

You should be able to remove all the “friends” that Spotify ported in years ago from your Facebook account like it did for everyone.

neptune, in Is there a way to have default and permanent private listening mode in Spotify?

I think there is an option in Settings. Under privacy there is a toggle for Listening Activity to hide it from followers. It’s below the temporary version of the setting, Private Session I think you are thinking of. Why a temporary privacy setting would be such an option is beyond me.

I buy albums and listen on my chosen app rather than use a social media music streamer.

imkali,

Good for you, but that doesn’t answer OPs question.

Thanks for the information.

Bakachu, in What is a rainy day meal you enjoy?

Bho ko - a spicy Vietnamese beef stew - immediately comes to mind for me. It’s savory, hearty, fragrant. Has a touch of sweet. Great mix of eastern and western ingredients so it’s familiar and comforting on many levels. A Vietnamese friend of mine made it for a dinner party a few years back and it set off the cravings.

I like mine without noodles, and instead with toasted french bread for dipping.

HootinNHollerin, (edited )

Bánh Mì Bò Kho is when it’s with the baguette (Bánh Mì)

Bakachu,

That’s the magic right there - with the banh mi.

Bennettiquette, in Do grown-ass lions and other big cats enjoy standard cat-treats?

i wonder about other behaviors as well. like, are tigers also into making biscuits before a nap? would lions also bow for a bongo solo on the base of their tail? how excited would a leopard be to stumble onto a giant heated blanket?

cheese_greater,

Pree sure they [would] love all that shit haha

Devi,

There's videos online of captive tigers doing all those things.

This is my favourite video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J11uu8L8FTY

cheese_greater,

Whats the one that looks like a large cat with stubby tail?

Devi,

Raindance? He's a bobcat.

Bennettiquette,

this brought so much joy, lol. thanks for sharing.

Agent641, in What is a rainy day meal you enjoy?

Any soup and any bread - both homemade. I cant stomach canned soup, but I make my own, prodigiously, and freeze it.

My favorite is broccoli cheddar soup, followed by a spicy tomato bisque which somehow seems it gets spicier the longer it stays in the fridge, then ham bone soup, then caldo verde portugese soup, then potato leek, and my most recent one was a red cabbage bisque which I have mixed feelings about, but I love to see the horror on my colleagues faces as I tuck into a weird, dark purple goopy monster blood lunch.

I like to make a skillet flatbread, the same kind i make when im camping. Water, flour, yeast, salt, olive oil, half a day of hanging out in my backpack while im hiking, punched down and pasted to the inside of a frying pan, smothered in dried herbs or maybe crushed pepitas, whatevers handy, covered in foil and baked on a campfire. It never comes out the same way twice. Sometimes the crust is burned, but flatbread is really forgiving, just scrape off the burned bits and theres good bread underneath.

corsicanguppy,

That bread sounds like a bannock.

ThankYouVeryMuch, in My English Breakfast tea states it contains 2g of protein.
@ThankYouVeryMuch@kbin.social avatar

I was curious so I looked it up but everything I could find said 0% protein for Tazo English breakfast, so I went to my box of tea, another brand English breakfast, and alongside the table with the information for just the tea infusion (calories are specified as less than 4kcal, <4kcal) is another table for a serving with 30ml semi-skimmed milk with 1.2g protein. Could you post maybe a picture of the labeling?

cheese_greater,

I tried Imgur but couldn’t get it to work. You’re just going to have to take my word for it until we have the technology :(

gerryflap, in What's involved in your budgeting method?
@gerryflap@feddit.nl avatar

None really. I think I’ve always been in a privileged enough position that I never really needed to worry. I’m not a big impulse buyer and tend to regulate myself on this. If I buy something that I don’t really use as much as I thought I would, it annoys me so much that I become much more conservative with spending in the following weeks/months. It kinda self-regulates.

I don’t have a car, and instead bike everywhere or use public transport which saves me a lot of money. This is again a privilege, because I managed to land an affordable place to live that’s close to work.

My only way of keeping track of all this is the division between my payment and savings accounts. If my payment account goes above a certain value, I move money to my savings account. As long as this keeps happening regularly, like it has for years, I have nothing to worry about. Obviously I do check the details of my spending every now and then, but nothing organised.

1rre,

proper joint for knees and elbows

How about we perfect the joints we’ve got by having ankles which don’t just give way if you stand on a funny shaped rock or similar?

Pea666, in Do grown-ass lions and other big cats enjoy standard cat-treats?

I’m thinking yes. Assuming their dietary needs are roughly similar. However, every cat I’ve ever know has been notoriously picky about what food they like and dislike so I’m assuming big cats are the same.

hungryphrog,

I think that big cats, at least wild ones, aren’t as picky as housecats, because when you live in the wild you have to eat whatever you can catch.

Lividpeon, in What's involved in your budgeting method?

We pay bills, rent, get food (all generic and heavy sales) then the money is gone. Its a good month if we have 20$ at the end of the month, thats how we budget, by having no money. Donated a decent amount to medical aid for Ukraine and ate plain rice most of that month, priorities

OhmsLawn, in What gifts that you received for Christmas this year are already in the trash?

The lady and I started just buying our own gifts and profusely thanking each other for them a few years back. So. Nothing.

It’s nice because there are still gifts under the tree, without the angst of shopping and the likelihood of disappointment.

Cyclist,

This is what my wife and I do but we also usually throw in a surprise too.

gramie,

My wife and I have decided to adopt the Icelandic tradition of buying each other books, and opening them on Christmas Eve. We then have a wonderful quiet read that evening.

We might buy each other small presents aside from the books, but nothing is expected or required.
