Logic - Wu Tang Forever.

Such a solid track.

hperrin, in What is an obscure piece of media or videogame that you think nobody else here has heard of?

Getbackers. It was an anime that I liked as a kid. I tried to rewatch it recently and realized how bad it is.

AquaTofana,

Bruh I loooooved the Getbackers as a teen! It actually got me through losing a beloved family pet because it took my mind off everything.

Ugh, what a nostalgia trip right there.

I’ve had Meat Magnet by Escuela Grind in heavy rotation since it came out recently. I’m not usually into grindcore but this song is catchy as hell.

DerisionConsulting, in best app for lemmy?

The absolute bare minimum is to show text as it was written. Most of the apps don’t even deal with formatting post correctly, so I am happy to stick with a browser.

If your app of choice does not display the following correctly, let the devs know via a bug report

Bold = Bold v. normal.
Italic = Italic v. normal.
Superscript = ^SuperScript^ v. normal.
Subscript = Subscript v. normal.
Strike-through = Strike-through v. normal.

MIDItheKID,

TIL that superscript and subscript don’t work on Connect. Eh, could be worse.

DerisionConsulting,

Please let the devs know!

My friend recently put me on to this one: The Lantis - Lampu Merah

Aremel, in Those who chose "never" in a "now or never" moment. How is it going for you?

I didn’t have sex with a girl I had a crush on for the longest time.

It didn’t matter a bit in the long run, but it would have been nice.

  • Scarronline,

    Why so down voted?

    stoicmaverick,

    I don’t know man. I was going for a ‘comically supportive thing as though he was actually emotionally devastated by it but didn’t want to admit it’ vibe, but I guess somebody read it wrong, and everyone else assumed the worst. You know… the Internet.

    aldalire,

    I didn’t think you meant to sound creepy but u sounded creepy lol

    Been playing some Cyberpunk 2077 and also finished the anime. I Really Want to Stay at Your House has been on repeat lately. Such a great synthpop tune.

    KpntAutismus,

    insanely good song. who’s ready for tomorrow is a vibe too.

    Antium, in What is an obscure piece of media or videogame that you think nobody else here has heard of?

    Space Siege, it was basically Dungeon Siege but futuristic. I only ever played it from an old PC gamer demo disc.

    Took me years to stop obsessing about “what could have been”…
    In hindsight, punishing myself did way more harm than missing the actual opportunity. I could have recovered quickly … which leads into another cycle of obsessing about the other missed opportunities

    Out of nowhere I woke up with “Bond Theme’s From The Early 80s” by Paul Williams stuck in my head. NZ Taskmaster Paul Williams, not 70’s songwriter Paul Williams.

    Lauren Babic’s cover of “What was I made for?”…really suits my holiday mood.

    Einar Solberg - A Beautiful Life

    Powerful, beautiful and brilliantly sung. I love it.

    Hand of Manos. Most likely thee worst movie ever made. I found it for a screen writing class. The assignment was watch a bad movie then present it to the class. Easiest A+ of my fucking life.

    Another weird one is, there used to be a sex Tetris type game for Windows 98 or earlier. Little naked people would drop down and when you got a full line they would jump off the screen. I don’t know how that got on the family PC, but it was on it. I played it. So there’s that.

    rappo,

    Do you mean Manos: The Hands of Fate?

    MST3K made it famous in what is probably one of their best episodes.

    JakoJakoJako13,
    @JakoJakoJako13@lemmy.world avatar

    Yeah! I always called it Hand of Manos for some reason. I had no clue there was a MST3K episode about it.

    rappo,

    You should watch it if you haven’t! It’s one of their best eps. They even got together to do a Rifftrax version of it live in theaters.

    I cannot stop rocking out to “Hollywood Baby” by 100gecs

    i've been getting back into Big Band Swing in general, but Andy Kirk and the Twelve Clouds was a special group, and one of their pianists Mary Lou Williams was a true pioneer of jazz solo improvisation.. still mind blowing to hear..

    Walkin' and Swingin' is a good one..

    Close to Five is just badass
