Its a real love the art hate the artist. 1989 and Reputation are certified bangers imo. Being a Billionaire means she is hoarding wealth that could help lift tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands out of poverty but chooses not to.
I don’t agree with your take because of how it seems to imply “reverse sexism,” which is odd. If anything, it’s harder to be a woman.
But I do know celebrity culture is weird, and you’ll never talk sense into people who worship a particular celebrity. You’ve got to think of them as meth addicts or something – you can’t just antagonize them because they’ll lash out or shut down.
Taylor Swift is tolerated because she has a huge swath of followers and uses her platform to say center/left common sense things like “stay hydrated” and “take care to not get sick”. The right hates her because she is both successful and doesn’t follow their messaging guidelines for right wing Richie’s, which they thought she was. Anyone that doesn’t like her for her politics usually starts out by saying she was good when she sang country, like a dog whistle for right wingers.
The left doesn’t like her because her messaging for climate change and her personal actions don’t mesh. Her private jet use puts her in a very lonely company of highest polluting people on the planet. She can be better but the left is thrilled she isn’t a right wing sociopath getting paid to say hurtful things.
Must be hell on the property values, what with people constantly summoning eldritch horrors and gibbering monstrosities, then driving off to take their Labradoodle or Hellbeast to the park.
