Drusas, in "Don't you dare put one foot out of the house!" OK!

I liked how maliciouscompliance on Reddit was text-based and not just a bunch of pictures.

Do you mind letting us know why? This is something we might change in future, depending on what everyone thinks, so if you have a strong opinion either way we’d love to know.

this is really testing my resolve not to go back to that site.

WellThatSucks

darkstar, in r/WellThatSucks only.Vaccume cleaners

I love this more than I can even express into words

Faresh, in r/steam (maliciously) complies with the call to open again

Reminds me of what lemmy did to !redpill and !flatearth (the top posts on this one), but with a different goal.

Revan343, in [REPOST] You might like to back up that decision...

I waited for him to finish, and then asked him politely how he proposed that I do a backup of files that I'm not allowed to have any access to?

I mean, set up Borg to back up his machine, in theory, but you'd have to set up backups first, and then blindly trust Borg that nothing's going wrong. And of course Borg doesn't do Windows, so you'd need his machine to run an SMB server

youainti, in [REPOST] "You need to grade my test ACCURATELY! It's for a SCHOLARSHIP!!" - Oh is it, now? Let the pettiness ensue.

I've definitely had similar. My tests have some written problems that most students complain about, at least until I breakdown the grades into multiple choice vs written portion. I can grade written questions leniently, but what can I do when they miss 14 of 25 questions?

burgersc12, (edited ) in [META] 2.8k subscribers - welcome! Updates, Rules and Navigating the Fediverse

I like this sub, but why is it labelled Malicious in Jerboa, instead of the full name, maliciouscompliance

eg.

https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/1bd5ab9b-9c63-4d65-94e5-f950b92a01f4.jpeg

Creat,

Weird, it isn't for me. Labeled as expected the app.

burgersc12,

Weird. It was only when looking at this post or scrolling through All. When i go to the community it says Malicious Compliance

dystop,
@dystop@lemmy.world avatar

Interesting - I'm using Jerboa and it looks correct to me. Could it be an issue with viewing communities cross instance? Either way, I'm not sure why, but I just rechecked and the community name should be correct.

cfx_4188, in Reddit: open /r/pics or else. Mods: OK but you didn't say how
@cfx_4188@kbin.social avatar

You have confirmed my words. Moderators consider themselves "nobility" who have the right to make decisions for the rest of the cattle. That was the point of the "protest.

Kissaki,

I have no idea how you can come to this conclusion. It stands directly opposite to the text.

They made a vote. And acted upon it. How is that "making decisions for others"?

samus12345,
@samus12345@lemmy.world avatar

The "cattle" were asked if they wanted to resume business as usual. They overwhelmingly voted no.

gibbedygook, in [REPOST] Super extra spicy fried chicken

I like my spice, but too much of it and it overwhelms everything else. Gotta have a balance.

hejsan, in You really need to think about what is more important...

Crazy. In my country this person would have been fired, and the company in trouble.

HR people tend to be extremely anti employee and see ulterior motives everywhere. They essentially never even mingle with other employees. It's such an odd career to pursue.

asjmcguire, in "Don't touch my bag!" OK, I'll do exactly that!
@asjmcguire@kbin.social avatar

Excellent! I'm so glad I subbed. I wasn't terribly active outside a few subreddits that interested me over in the other place, so I missed like 99.98% of what communities it had. This though, brings a huge grin to my face.

darcy,

Thank you

eyy, in That time the boys team had our back against sexist uniforms

"latte is not coffee"... that's a strong stance right there!

Abridgedlife,

¯_(ツ)_/¯ I didn’t name the server. Nothing wrong with a latte

eyy,

here you missed this :p

dystop,
@dystop@lemmy.world avatar

just out of curiosity, how did you end up on that server? It's not one of the common ones. Was that created out of a specific subreddit?

Abridgedlife,

This one said it was open for people to hop on, figured I’d help lighten the load for the bigger servers since they were expecting heavy traffic once the blackout got started

PlasticExistence, in [REPOST] You might like to back up that decision...

Yikes. Was the company profitable at all?
