rambling_lunatic, in My parents were watching the History Channel and needed to inform me of this amazing theory

I like to read what conspiracy theorists post. It is hilarious. This? This is like light beer. Sometimes you seem some truly insane people though.

I thought I had seen everything. Then I found a guy who said that the Sun is fake and was made in 1971 courtesy of the Freemasons. As predicted by Shakespeare when he wrote the Bible. Which he did in English because English is a magical language that was invented by Angels.

Lauchs, in NWBTCW

Man, if we’d stop fighting culture war issues, we’d have won the class war. But on the Left, we always take the bait.

I always think of it like, would we rather the North fought for abolition or should the North tried to rally around universal suffrage, gay marriage, trans rights and abolition, have no states join them and have the confederacy be almost every state and slavery not stop. Like, yup, it’d be nice if everyone was on the right page right away but cultural progress takes time. And Fox news goads the Left into fighting fights that the mainstream isn’t quite ready for yet.

banneryear1868,

Reconstruction was pretty royally bungled by the Andrew Johnson presidency as well, and the Populists who fought with racial solidarity after for what was in essence a class mission were dealt with by the capitalist class.

Lauchs,

In your head, what was the relationship between what I wrote and your response?

ramius345, in Is it because of me?

Let’s start with the fact that is a rotary phone.

SineNomineAnonymous, in Guys I won!!!

If you could get your hands on a few SAMs for me. I need to do some “right to defend myself” real quick.

Moonrise2473, in The slow decline isn't slow anymore

There are too many. The other day I saw the latest flash movie. It’s the second? Third? Fourth? I don’t know because they don’t put a number and I don’t care enough. Too many stuff referenced other movies or series making watching a bit of a hassle. Is this just unknown and will be told later for making the movie interesting, or it’s because the audience is supposed to having watched 40 hours of previous works?

If they really need to push a new superhero movie or series every 2 months, their stories should be self contained, at most separated in a trilogy. Not an infinite parallel universe constantly self referenced that needs a guide that tells you which content you need to watch and in which order.

angrystego,

The Flash is not MCU. The rest is true.

UnspecificGravity,

This is why the whole “marvel vs DC” thing is fucking stupid. Most people don’t know or care about that difference, they just know they saw a shitty superhero movie. Better movies overall help both companies.

Moonrise2473,

Lol I’m so out of touch that only now I noticed it’s DC

LOL that’s why there was batman at the beginning

I was genuinely thinking it was Marvel ignoring all the references to the justice league. Like, my mind shutted off at the beginning of the movie, just watching the action but ignoring the story

LOL i can’t believe I did such a mistake

Humans aren’t that tall… anymore

Not since the Eiffel Tower starting broadcasting 5G to shrink us down over generations so our tiny hands could build complex computers. Wake up sheeple.

I'm an electronics hobbyist. This triggers a panicked sequence of shutting off every power switch and yanking every cord within reach.

I once had some lipo battery leads accidentally touch and weld themselves together, and the second I saw that glow and smoke, ripped the wires apart with full force.

SpaceNoodle,

Now imagine doing that with SLA batteries

superduperenigma, in they are very fragile...

You could switch “politicians” for “mouth breathers that make $30k but assume they could be a billionaire any day now if they play their cards right”

Fosheze,

To be fair, if you play cards right you can make a lot of money. Poker tounament players do get sponsors.

blanketswithsmallpox, in "you see, I learned from the CEO himself"

The joys of working soft Security and numerous other manufacturing or niche jobs.

Unfortunately there’s only so much you can teach though a SOP without hands on. Almost every job I’ve ever had had been like this.

The practical job knowledge you get from college is negligible in most blue AND white collar jobs sans Tradeschool.
