It’s because idiots that follow them don’t care, some undecided will check him out because of the haircut and listen to what he says, and everyone else is making fun of his haircut instead of commenting on the vile shit he spouts.
To make them stand out I guess so that you can identify with them easier. And all dear leaders or nazis had their special weird take on hair & mustaches.
HOW DARE YOU ASSUME THEIR GENDER?!? YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO SAY ‘THEY/THEM’ FUCK YOU??? THIS NOW MEANS YOU’RE A FASCIST BIGOT IF YOU DON’T CORRECT YOURSELF TO RESPECT THEIR PRONOUNS… ARGGGGGHHHH!!!
What even is white? Like who is considered white seems to change every 5 or so years and the people in Europe usually don’t even identify as white.
Like in my native language calling someone white doesn’t even make sense or exist. Also calling someone back in my native language is actually insulting since black and dirty are the same word and people assume the former.
It’s nationalism (the idea that different peoples deserve their own separate countries) with the people in question being white people. It manages to combine the most problematic aspects of nationalism such as its propensity to drive governments to commit countless atrocities with the most problematic aspects of whiteness as an identity. In short, it’s modern naziism.
It’s been reported by several people, both reporters and those close to Johnson, that his wild hair is an affectation, he intentionally roughs it up before he does anything in the public eye.

I see a lot of comments saying that people comment, but I’ll occasionally post videos when I see them come out, get zero responses, and will see the same video on Reddit with thousands of responses. These aren’t small communities either - the videos community on lemmy.world has thousands of subscribers, but few videos have any comments.
I don’t think it’s necessarily an issue with people not posting enough. I think there just aren’t enough people to sustain a social network with thousands of communities.
I post a bit too, but honestly posting a link is not that much of a stretch. Just try starting more discussions topic posts if you want people to join.
