Even if animals in captivity did live longer (which @WallEx contradicts), wouldn’t it make more sense to think it’s because of better treatment and healthcare?

To be fair, he’s not contradicting the intended statement. “Animals in captivity” usually refers to zoos/aquariums/etc in this context.

They are just pointing out that animals raised for food are also “animals in captivity,” and have dramatically reduced lifespans.

Farm animals are not animals in captivity.

Captivity implies being captured and being held captured.

It is about wild animals that do live longer in a control environment albeit loosing their freedom.

Animal farming is a different animal

My response was in reference to the comment the guy above linked to. The one by WallEx.

That post was claiming animals didn’t live longer in captivity, but was taking animals raised for meat into account.

I get that too. It’s a flaw of my character, I guess, that stems from past experience on other social media platforms I’ve used throughout my life.

Now it’s two. But they are probably not billionairs but just people who think one can rightfully earn 1000 Million with honest work, by contributing something good to society or something. Or they believe they will become billionairs too at some point if they work hard enough to make their employer rich.
