I’ve personally been blamed for the fact that lascivious female streaming material shows up on my feed despite the facts that I’m not sexually interested in females and the fact that I’ve never even seen a Twitch.

Insert really poor quality image of a lamentably bad site logo to help drive home the issue that “this is funny you have to laugh” because obviously we’re not specifically blaming you the user for doing nothing out of the ordinary even though we totally are and that’s “the joke” funny ha ha you need to laugh but you don’t need a helpful error message because we’re cool and edgy like that.
minority of people comment, most of users just upvote/downvote/ignore the post and move on. so its “weird” to be in comments, but its also just weird to expect people who have something to say not to be verly invested
Here on lemmy sure and that’s what’s killing it. Someone just shared a Reddit post recently about outfitting their home with Ethernet and there were 140 helpful comments. That type of contribution is what makes it good.
