BobbyNevada,
Kusimulkku,

Can confirm, got a tick sorta like this

emptiestplace,

…go on

Kusimulkku,

It’s not terribly exciting, had sex outside in grass, later on found a tick

threelonmusketeers,

“Doesn’t matter; got laid Lyme.”

Thanks for reminding me that scene exists. Now we all get to suffer.

SaakoPaahtaa,

Underrated af. Though way too goddamn long with bits that should only be found on the cutting room floor but still

FrigidAphelion, (edited )

I was took my friends to see this for my 11th birthday (I had already seen it, thought it was the best thing ever) and all three of them fell asleep before the end. Today I have no friends.

Rising from my nightmares, i see that scene. Blinding, searing reality cuts through my consious thoughts; it had always been there; waiting for a spark. A fungal web of neuronal links itching to infect and consume. Unavoidable and inevitable.

And as i fall from blissful ignorance once more; a whisper “why?”

RGB3x3,

The giant fucking bugs when she’s stuck in the log gives the the shivers and heebie-jeebies like no other scene.

I’m squirming just thinking about it.

TheControlled,

Right? This is why our ancestors had fur and groomed each other relentlessly.

Thymos,

Ugh… Went to an outdoor swimming pool this spring for the first time in years. Decided to dry up in the sun instead of toweling off. Laid down in the grass for 10, maybe 15 minutes, got slowly covered in ants. The next day I discovered I had a tick. Took me a while to go swimming again…

MonkderZweite,

Depends entirely on the grass in use.

HurlingDurling,

I thought the meme was about that as well, but it’s about getting bitten by critters… mainly ticks

AngryCommieKender,

Vitamin B-12 wards off ticks, fleas, chiggers, and mosquitos. If you take an excess you’ll sweat it out, which masks the smell of your blood. Unfortunately it doesn’t work on bedbugs.

butiloveu,
AngryCommieKender,

I have no other explanation of how us kids managed to play in tall grass and woods all the time, and never get bug bites. We picked up the occasional tick, but it was the dogs that the insects went after, not us.

ThatFembyWho,

Who doesnt love chiggers?

Dadifer,

It’s called a blanket

runswithjedi,

But why?
