Altered Carbon season 1

Graphy,

It’s a shame only one season exists, right?

HeavyRaptor,

What a shame, so much wasted potential

Been a while since I’ve seen it but a movie called “A Day Without A Mexican” where rich assholes and middle class white people lose their nannies and field workers picking their food. I believe it was a dark comedy but like I said been a number of years since I saw it…

Leverage is one of my favorites. The reboot is pretty good as well.

Lemmygizer, in Lift by Netflix is incredibly bad wow

The “Writer” does have at least some knowledge about AI. https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/1048e260-682c-47d3-aed9-8047be8ec2ff.png

Interesting that the hands on the parents are mostly alright, maybe they were fixed manually. But the kids’ hands are all messed up.

Look at the girl on the far left side lol, she has 3 arms and fingers are bending in every direction, truly horrific

And the boy on the right side has some oddly chonky hands lol and definitely not the correct number of fingers on each hand

I wonder how wide a release it will get. From the sound of the article, it’s up to the Library of Congress what happens next.

The good fight, but it’s a bit on and off. There are subplots about resistance movements, but it’s more against far right than rich. They are just aligned. Some is the imbalance of justice.

I’m very much curious now, do tell us what the rest of writing is on that cover. The picture is not clear enough.

The only thing I found was this:

Is it some low budget direct to video thing?

Honestly from a close look at the picture I cant help but feel like this is AI generated and OP might be having some fun with us.

Something seems “off” with all 3 of the guys on the cover and I cant identify the car for the life of me.

    CrayonRosary, (edited )

It looks photoshopped like every DVD cover ever. It does not look like AI.

On closer inspection, it probably is.

    TheFriar, (edited )

I could see the AI claim. Look between the middle guy’s legs. Is that the bottom of the car, the metallic rail thing (I’m not a car person)? Is it a reflection really bright on the ground? It doesn’t line up with the rest of the car.

Look at the the left guy’s right hand. Is he holding something? Or are his fingers fucked up like AI tends to do?

And the left side of the cover, behind the guy, is that another car? Or a truck? It wouldn’t fit into that space. It doesn’t make any sense. I could very much see this being AI.

It to mention, maybe the most telling, is the “picture taker’s” pointing hand. Is that the thumb? Where are the rest of the fingers? You would see the second knuckle in that position, or you’d see the fingertips curled into the palm. It’s just a blur of he vague idea of fingers. I’m pretty damn sure this is AI.

    CrayonRosary,

You’ve convinced me. I wasn’t looking hard enough.
