This comic reminds me of a children’s book called “Click, Clack, Moo. Cows That Type” In the story the cows use a typewriter to demand blankets from the farmer. They withhold their milk until the farmer gives in to their demands. At the end of the book the chickens threaten to withhold their eggs.
Which is scarier, that a creature is literally eating you from the inside out or that it might ruin your chances at getting laid? Never mind we all know the answer.
I assume the commenter is referencing the Russian use of the letter Z during their illegal invasion of Ukraine.
The Latin-script letter Z (Russian: зет, tr. zet, IPA: [zɛt]) is one of several symbols (including “V” and “O”) painted on military vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces involved in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine
Larson is layering a turn of the phrase: ‘crack the whip’…which means: to use power or authority to make a person or group work harder or behave in a disciplined way.
The dogs taking over control is part of the joke. Another part is if you look at the dogsled chain as a whip and were to ‘crack it’ like an actual whip, that would send the musher (authority figure) into the water…and thus breaking the chain of your oppressor.
Our little pomchi chased a German shepherd all the way across a very large park, barking her crazy head off the entire time. She was normally a very obedient and sweet girl, but would just completely lose her fucking mind whenever she saw another dog at the park. We had to stop letting her off the leash anywhere that other dogs might be. If she was on her leash then she would be chill, and just wag her tail and say hello. But the second her leash was off around another dog, she turned into a psychopath.
