Anticorp,

I do use Linux, and I’m usually glad about it, but I wasted an hour last night trying to figure out how to change my microphone port to a subwoofer port, and never did solve the problem. Linux is awesome, but sometimes basic stuff is ridiculously difficult or impossible.

Anticorp,

Finances. It costs money to run the heater, and working class families are on really regimented budgets. A difference of $30-$50 in your power bill can really mess things up when you’re living on a strict budget.

The audio port for headphones and headsets. Replaceable batteries. Extendable storage. Fuckers charge 100x more for every little upgrade now.

Anticorp,

Isn’t Santa omniscient? He should already know where the presents are, so he must be a sadist.

What search engine do you recommend that isn't Google or Bing?

I’m still trying to de-Google my life, little by little. I don’t trust Bing for similar reasons. DDG is feeling shady of late. What’s the search engine you all recommend that I can inject into my daily life? Is there perhaps a search engine that is focused on code, or have we just all moved on to AI for searching?...

Anticorp,

Kagi. Nothing else even comes close. Kagi is what Google used to be, before they decided they’ll show you whatever is profitable, rather than what they know you’re looking for.

Anticorp,

Or he’s living in a beach house in the Bahamas.

Anticorp,

"Oh BTW, we gave the stadium to some wealthy dude, and he’ll keep all of the money the stadium makes. Don’t worry though, your tax dollars will pay for the upkeep.

Anticorp,

There’s a bigger issue than your commit message if you don’t even know what you just coded and are committing.

Anticorp,

There’s nothing trivial about bar room disagreements. People die over those. That professor just saved someone’s life.

Anticorp,

It’s a bit extreme to say Ubuntu sucks ass. Ubuntu brought Linux to the masses.

Blade barrier is fucking amazing!

We just got ambushed in a courtyard by about 15 enemies standing on a walkway above us, with no immediately obvious way for us to get up there. We were sitting ducks. So Shadowheart cast blade barrier across the entire walkway. In addition to doing a lot of damage every turn, it imposes difficult terrain. All of the enemies...

Anticorp,

For one glorious summer I was a small boat sailing instructor at a summer camp. My life was sitting on the beach and teaching kids to sail. I had a wonderful tan, and sun bleached hair. My life was stress free and wonderful. I got into it by learning how to sail at that very camp, and applying for the job. It paid minimum wage, but it also came with free room and board, and I was a kid, so I didn’t really need any money anyways.

Anticorp,

:P is appropriate a lot of times when 😛 is not, and the latter is what slack converts it to. 😋 Is what they should use. One looks like you’re being silly, the other looks sexually desperate.

Anticorp,

Did you watch the news in 2020? There were protests and riots across the country. Hell dude, at one point there was a giant group of people marching from police station to police station, burning them to the ground. People aren’t doing that right now because Biden is pretty chill and doesn’t do much to protest against. Mobs need specific catalysts to spur them to action, not vague feelings of discontent.

Anticorp,

Dryclean only means “I will never wear this sweater again”

"Jogging From the Perspective of Animals" by Jake Likes Onions (files.mastodon.social)

Anticorp,

If any animal understands running just for the hell of it, it’s the dog.

Anticorp,

Not things like this, this exactly. He’s the trust fund baby of an apartheid era emerald mine baron.

Anticorp,

Yeah, what we’re seeing a lot of lately is intentional ignorance, and manufactured intention.

“Just look up!”

“No.”

They even made a movie about it, it’s called Don’t Look Up.

Leave Texas and other Draconian states and risk getting pulled over for driving pregnant? Nope, just have the pills mailed from California. (www.cbsnews.com)

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a new law on Wednesday that aims to stop other states from prosecuting doctors and pharmacists who mail abortion pills to patients in places where the procedure is banned. California already has a law protecting doctors who provide abortions from out-of-state judgments.

Anticorp,

Heya, it sounds like they’re trying to influence matters of state. TAX THEM.

Anticorp,

Just drill drain holes in the bottom. Duh! Oh wait…

Anticorp,

That’s not why they ignore them. They ignore them because it is profitable.
