What are some food items that cost less than what they "should"?

Bananas are ridiculously cheap even up here in Canada, and they aren’t grown anywhere near here. Yet a banana can grow, be harvested, be shipped, be stocked, and then be purchased by me for less than it’d cost to mail a letter across town. (Well, if I could buy a single banana maybe…or maybe that’s not the best...

Just about all of it.

Most farming gets subsidised. This is a good thing. You want excess in the system. You’ve seen what the free markets did to housing. You don’t want that happening to food.

The slavery-in-all-but-name isn’t such a good thing, but hey-ho.

I think that’s the fault of games rather than me.

A lot of games are the same generic open world bollocks and it’s honestly just exhausting.

That’s still one up from the breakfast cob someone at my work had from Greasy Lil’s.

Nothing like a cob full of raw egg spunk to start your day.

Nobody is quite sure why everyone calls it Greasy Lil’s. There’s only two people that have ever worked there, and neither are called Lil.

I assume it weighs it at the start and knows it’s dry when it weighs the same again.

It doesn’t know what the material is. Some dry quicker than others.

Yeah, I’ve got a self filling one. Nice to run a bath without even getting out of bed. Although if you forget to put the plug in first, you’ll arrive to an empty bath.

Yeah, as somebody with an ever growing pile of apps that stop working every time I upgrade my phone, I wouldn’t count on it.

If somebody doesn’t take it over and rebuild for every pointless Android change, it will eventually disappear.

Sad that Android TV boxes have better playback than PCs costing 20 times as much.

Not a cure, but does stop me seeing ads. And frankly of you don’t want anyone to know what you’re watching, you wouldn’t be on Netflix either.

But my point remains that Android TV is still a better legal media player than a PC.
