Gentle reminder to everyone that support for ends in about 90 weeks. Many computers can't upgrade to Win 11 so here are your options:

  1. Continue on Win 10 but with higher security risks.
  2. Buy new and expensive hardware that supports Win11.
  3. Try a beginner friendly distro like . It only takes about two months to acclimate.

Hardware that cannot support windows 11 is likely near the end of its useable life right now, so in two years people might be justified in considering buying a new and actually functional computer.

Yeah you’d probably like them if youre into pickles and olives. They are a pickled bud of a plant, cant really describe what they taste like other than “like capers.” They’re bitter and kinda floral I guess? Anyway, a good paring with fish.

Truth be told right now it’s One Piece. I never watched / read when I was younger, but was aware of it in the periphery. I watched the first episode of the Netflix adaptation and immediatly decided that it might be worth checking out. 900 some odd episodes later and I’m kinda sad I’m near the end of what’s currently available. Is it dumb as shit? Yes. Is it immensely charming and at times genuinely moving? Yes. Could it use a massive trimming of the fat—oh god yes. But still I love how completely zany the world is and how unabashedly batshit crazy things get.

No idea what the movie’s actual title was but there is a wonderfully poorly dubbed kung fu movie by the American title “Shaolin V Ninja”

The voices are terrible, sometimes the characters answer their own questions, music is stolen from Star Trek II at points and it features probably the best “I’ve been stabbed” sound in cinematic history at about 1 hour, 13 minutes. Highly recommend. youtu.be/h6iYROUoHUE?si=6h7DzxRMD6x4YSLl

Also it’s that specific dub, there seems to be a more shared version on youtube that is better translated (and not as stupid).

there are a lot of factors for me but i feel it, and i think a big part is climate change. i live in new england and it was 60 degreees and raining the other day, pretty hard to get into the holiday spirit when it’s spring outside.

Also, before the goblinos start, yes there are many places where christmas happens in summer, summer type weather, etc, but that is not how it was for me growing up and most of my adult life.

Pretty sure phone cases with external batteries exist that are literally identical to what you are describing (“purchase physically larger or higher capacity batteries”). Also current phones do a lot more than the old phones you’re describing as “having insane battery life.” Sure, a cell phone of 2005 could be left on for probably two days straight without needing a charge but you were only getting an occasional text message and maybe calling someone once or twice and maybe playing Snake during that timeframe.

That just triggered a memory of my old dumb phone and its little dangly “hello kitty in samurai armor riding a tiger” charm. I don’t really care that current mobile devices don’t have those tie off points because as others have stated you can get cases that include them but thanks for reminding me of that old bauble.

I don’t believe an actual person made this.

I might believe a gen x’er was paid some money by a boomer to create the art and the dialog was filled in by a “the AI.”

If this WAS created by a person then I’d like to see them tried for war crimes.
