ExLisper,

I just use Super+p to run commands. Awesome and custom keybidings are to easily move between tags, windows and monitors, not to launch programs. I use nvim for coding and this combined with awesome means I can do a lot without touching my mouse. At work I use Cinnamon and IntelliJ tools and it’s just less ergonomic. Not a huge difference but I definitely prefer my home setup. In general all Linux WM I used over the years were easy to configure and get good experience. The worst environment I had to ever use was OS X. I just hated all their weir solutions like the launch bar and the common menu bar on top. On Linux I never had any issues.

It’s staged and this is a shitpost.

ExLisper,

You commenting here proves you’re not using Jerboa. Or was the keyboard bug finally fixed?

ExLisper,

You clean your ass with your second set of hands? Nice!

I stopped caring. When my GF bought a laptop I just installed Linux there and she has no issues using it. Linux is where I always wanted it to be. Now when I see someone using Windows I just think “you poor soul” to myself and move on.

Did you mean chickens?

ExLisper,

How long would it take for the police to get involved and protect the site for free? Or do you think they would just ignore it? Does the law in USA say that if the victim of the crime is a company they have to hire private security and police is not involved?

ExLisper,

Really? Police in US doesn’t actively investigate crimes any more? I remember from The Wire that they used observe places where they knew crime is likely to happen. Crazy that they stopped.

ExLisper,

Wow, I didn’t realize the police in US is so dysfunctional they don’t even investigate felonies anymore. It’s like the government already collapsed.

ExLisper,

AFAIK Minecraft is not like water, you can live without it.

ExLisper,

That also doesn’t happen to me.

The last time I had Windows installed anywhere was around 15 years ago.

ExLisper,

That’s what virtualization is for.

ExLisper,

I took wayland a decade to become usable. It tells me all I need to know about it simplicity and usefulness.

ExLisper,

2 years from the original release to multiple ports, commercial applications, licencing to external groups and people actually asking to use it.

ExLisper,

A minute of silence for all the people killed by asshole chihuahuas…

ExLisper,

Exactly. For 10 years the groupthink was that Wayland doesn’t offer anything interesting and X is just fine. Now suddenly everyone who’s still using X is stupid. Amazing what couple of memes can do.

ExLisper,

I can’t believe because I’m on holiday until 08.01 like a normal person.

ExLisper,

I wish. I’m European.

ExLisper,

It’s easy to spell when you realize it’s a Polish last name. And you speak Polish.

Yeah, it’s shameful that as society we learned to be compassionate to other disabled people but still treat the obese like it’s their own fault.

ExLisper,

The problem with SpaceVim is that it offers a lot of toggles that are easy to switch but there are no examples for more ‘custom’ config and I struggled to figure it out. There’s a lot of examples and guides for nvim so it was easier. I don’t know, maybe it was just me but with SpaceVim I also didn’t really see what’s possible. With nvim I just found long lists of useful plugins that you can add one by one.

As for the future I don’t really worry that there will be next thing after neovim. I didn’t write any custom scripts for it, all I have is just plugins with mostly default settings. It would take me a day to switch to another tool witch is not a big issue.

I think starting with Vim is a good idea. You can easily add plugins one by one when you will see the need for them.
