they are very committed to not save any of your data, to the point that their servers run entirely in RAM and get cleared daily. but i am considering switching to mullvad when my subscription runs out.

as a car driver, i have no problems with bike drivers themselves. i hate whoever thought 1 lane and a thin sidewalk was enough road.

11:17 is the timestamp that is most relevant here, separated bike paths should be the norm. and not the shitty “fahrradschutzsstreifen” bullshit they are pulling in germany. i have to swerve around people going not even 20km/h when i’m going 50. there’s no way that reduces accidents. the netherlands rock. i went on a vacation there a few years ago. public transport is so much better there. (key phrase “viable alternative”)

so swerving into oncoming traffic is safe? i had numerous near crashes because people overtook a bike driver coming my way. the netherlands do it better, the bikes have their own separated lane.

can confirm. i basically meow at my cat whenever he looks like he wants something. based on how he reacts i can figure out if he’s hungry, needs attention or is just doing his hourly sweep of the house.

i do something similar. that pretty much makes it normal.

i fire up syncthing every once in a while, mainly because of pictures of my cat. i store it all on my main PC, and am planning to implement my NAS as well soon.

think of keyboards. business grade is a 10$ POS memrane keyboard. enthusiast/hobby grade would be a 200$ keychron q6. same with pretty much everything else. business grade is cheap and easily replaceable.

we ate burgers with i think corn-based patties once. actually tasted better than a burger imo. definetely a carnivore, but the vegans sure have some dope alternatives.

if public transport is a valid alternative (cheaper, less crowded, more comfortable) i will use it. but currenly it is not. so i will drive my 1st gen yaris 1.0. besides 70€ of gas a month, there ate no other operation costs.

fair points, a 1 litre car like this which is considered very safe basically costs nothing to ensure. i mainly forgot because it’s technically part of a company fleet of a family member, and they just pay the minescule bill.

it is a toyota. there are no broken parts.

i am not planning to sell it, it was already worth less than 1500€

oil doesn’t really cost much either, especially because i change it myself.

tires last really long and if you buy slightly used ones from someone who sold their car you can save a lot of money.

which is all true. and that is the cost i’m willing to pay to drive my car. if you think you can not afford to drive a car, don’t.
