Not just back roads, it used to be almost everywhere. Even riding your bike you often had bugs smash into your face. It’s really eerie now that it’s not a thing anymore.

All I have is a 13 year old laptop, and I use it basically all day most days. It’s plays music and movies etc with no issues. Cloud pc for gaming, which also works perfectly. It really doesn’t like youtube, though, and it sounds like a jet engine every time system and app updates start to download. Can’t afford to get anything better anyway. A friend gave it to me after it died on him and he got a new one, wasn’t hard to fix. I cried when I got it because it improved my life a lot, just being able to do basic things.

Yeah, I try to keep it clean. I’m pretty sure the fan has been warped, so one of the blades drags against the housing a bit, and I don’t have the tools to open it up that much to try to fix it. It only happens at high fan speeds, though, and that doesn’t happen often enough to be truly annoying.

Those kind of games exist, but so does every other kind. And you aren’t forced to play only new games. Literally every game ever is available for you to play. Every person that says stuff like you seem like you think the only games available are the most known and most recent AAA games. It’s like only going to the most recently opened restaurants in your area, especially chain brand ones, and complaining about you not liking the food and then deciding that all food is like that.

I’m in such a bad place that even just chocolate coins would be amazing and a luxury right now. I used my last groceries yesterday, made into some frankenstein monster of random ingredients… but it’s something to eat, at least. It will only last till tomorrow, though, then I guess I’ll just starve and try to survive on water.

Eh, it’s usually doable if you can survive one hit. Not that it’s recommended, or usually any fun, but doable. If they one hit you so hard that it feels like a nuke hitting a fly, that’s when you nope out and don’t try to return for a good while.

I’ve always strongly disliked Tom, and I don’t really know why.
I love many channels with the same kind of videos, it’s right up my alley, and I should be a fan. But every time I try to watch any of his videos, I stop after a few seconds and think “nah, I can’t stand this guy”.
I’ve forced myself several times throughout the years to watch through whole videos with hope that it’ll pass, but it never does.
Everything else that I don’t like, I can explain why, but not with Tom and his videos.
The closest I can find is that he just seems like such a smug asshole.
I respect him as a creator and know that his videos are good. There’s just something in my brain that strongly reacts to him in a bad way. It so weird. He has covered many topics I’d love to know more about, and I’ve tried to watch those videos and just focus on the information, but I just can’t get past my mental and physical reaction of “stop, get away from this ASAP”.

I’ll never forget the moment I learned who does the voice for Kratos in the GoW games. I’m a huge Star Gate fan, but I had never played any GoW until last year’s PC release of the 2016 title. Loved the game but didn’t think about looking up who did the voice. Someone posted his award speech from TGM, but I didn’t immediately connect the dots even though I recognised the name. That moment when it clicked during that awesome speech was absolutely mind-blowing, “THAT’S FUCKING TEAL’C!!? HOOOLY FUCK”

I never had a problem with this. It’s not like whole movies or long youtube videos are recorded vertically. The kind of content that is recorded vertically is mainly watched on phones, and it’s not like it’s unwatchable on any other screen. Never once have I seen anyone say anything about it that is anything more than mild inconvenience about something they really shouldn’t care that much about. It’s just stereotypical “complaining because you can” bullshit that is so common.

I still have a scar from my childhood when my pet turtle bit the webbing between my right thumb and index finger. The turtle had a blade of grass stuck in the area next to its neck that’s kinda like a dimple and it couldn’t get it out, so I stupidly put my finger there to try to get it out. Their beaks are like nail clippers.
